Curiosity is the attribute of mind and there are two ways to deal with it, either suppress it by force/threat which is easy or satisfy it, and curiosity can only be satisfied by finding the satisfactory answers to questions, doesn’t matter how hard the questions are!
Its not necessary to have blind faith, you can choose to do some hard work and get into enquiry of nature and human behaviour, I recommend if reasonably safe, use scientific approach (impartial observations) and tallying the observations with reason and logic to find answers to questions.
I prefer material evidence over human evidence, because humans may have many hidden agendas or stakes to tell me something as truth, but its hard that anyone can frame all material evidence.
For example a billion people might group together to make fool of me, all of them may have different aspirations to do it, someone just want to have some fun others want to embarrass me or whatever. One person come and ask me, Why are you not wearing clothes ?, I may take it as joke but if one by one, many people come and ask me the same questions, I would suspect have I gone mad, I can see my clothes but everyone is telling me your are not wearing clothes ?
In that scenario, I would look myself into every mirror possible and if mirrors are showing me clothed than I trust the mirrors because its easy for humans to lie but its hard for them to change the reflection of each and every mirror.

You can assume anything and drink poison by claming it as fruit juice but symptoms and reaction of that will not lie, they will be before everyone to see. In that context, I agree with Christianity, trees are known by their fruits.
Anyway coming back to your question that, Why an all knowing God, would act stupid sometimes ? Having a sharp mind does not mean that you got to use it all the time, its just like a weapon, you got to use it when necessary, otherwise soon people will start getting irritated by your show off.
Also man is quick to form hierarchy based on religion, God or whatever, so to decrease the chances of people getting bullied on his name, a kind and caring God can choose to deliberately bring in a little bit of stupidity in his stories, something if people want they can easily ignore or laugh off. It helps a person being bullied in the name of God, he can answer back the bully by claiming some faults in his God and thus embarrass and silent him. Although parasites and criminals will take advantage of it, but it’s the cost for putting measures to protect innocents.
We live in an imperfect world, a car not only needs power but also needs breaks and exhaust as well. To have meaningful flight a high flying bird should understand the importance of dipping its height with curvature of earth.
Although anyone can claim that he is at a great height but material evidence will measure the evolutionary height of everyone.
