Motive
by Rationalist on Jun 22, 2011 07:22 PM  | Hide replies

The people who had strong motive for killing Shastri were Indra Gandhi and Russians who could not pass their deals easily through honest Shastriji.

Well that is your opinion. Who is going to prove that now??? So no use. Let us find the solution. What we are doing here is creating heros from the past when we need somebody everybody sees as an Indian now.

If you have money and power
by Deepak Sharma on Jun 22, 2011 05:59 PM

the whole system will work in favour of you and you will become Hero and register your name in History books.
But if you are honest and work for nobal cause then whole machinery will work against you and you will be labelled as most worthless person.
System works like this only. There is no place which honesty and integrity is respected or rewarded in any works of life.
The other way to gain respect is to keep mum over looting as MMS is doing.
This has no offence to Mr.Lal Bahadur Shastry as we don't know about his life . All we hear from books, we talk. But our system shows that Corruption is respected . Tomorrow say after 20 years, may be our next generation child will be reading books which will glorify Donkeyvijay Singh or Kapil Sibal or Chindu as very honest persons. Books are printed by the power of corruption and misappropriation. No surprise we would find Anna being branded as CORRUPT People through books.
Money and power drives and builds image of people. So be Corrupt and enjoy life.

Untimely death changed India's fate
by palanki narayana on Jun 22, 2011 05:56 PM

Shastri's death within 19 months of taking charge changed India's destiny forever. In striving to be a worthy successor of Nehru,he worked ceaselessly and fell seriously ill. While he was trying to come to grips with his onerous responsibilities he was criticised without sympathy.Vijaya Lakshmi Pandit called him a prisoner of indecision. He proved his mettle by ordering the Indian army to cross into Pakistan during Bhutto's 'thousand year' war.He would have led India to glory but for the untimely demise.

Shastri....
by Mogumbo on Jun 22, 2011 05:48 PM  | Hide replies

was shrewed politician. Dhar is a Kashmiri hindu and a congi. Bringing this issue out now is just diverting the attention of people that Congress still cares for Shastri and promote Rahul in UP. Shastri was no saint. He wanted to promote himself like phoney Gandhi. He gave a blank cheque to Film maker Manoj Kumar to make a movie to promote Shastri as the legend of "Jai jawan jai kisaan". It is all politics my friend, dirty politics.

Fully agree with you except that a Kashmiri Hindu can be a congi.....No way! Kashmiri Hindus are the biggest anti congress community in India apart from the BJP!

Why Nehru, Indira took well care of you. Kashmiri Colony in posh Delhi area, medical college just for kashmiris. Come on how many kashmiris died in the Indian armed forces. You guys have been the royals of India because Nehru and Congress now you are playing only mind games.

I liked your message - the way you provided humour with your words and spellings. Half of my sorrow of losing Shastriji disappeared.

If you are a first hindu, get out of here. My ancestors did not fight for independence for the hindus. They fought for India, Bharat, secularism. Jinah saw right through your ancestors and created Pakistan.
