Yajur Mandir looted by thieves:Cops; From Deccan Chronicle, 6/22
by lalit on Jun 22, 2011 06:07 AM  | Hide replies

In a significant move, the Anantapur police altered the case of Rs 35 lakh cash seizure as theft, suggesting that thieves with the aid of the bigwigs had struck at Yajur Mandir, Satya Sai Baba personal residence at Prasanti Nilayam in Puttaparti, and made away with the money.

Police has added IPC Section 379 to the existing sections to the case, and is now suspecting that the thieves decamped with crores of worth of booty.

The Rayalaseema inspector-general of police, Mr Santosh Mehra, said, “It is confirmed that the cash is from Yajur Mandir. So we added the theft section of IPC 379.”

K Harish Ananda Shetty, a site engineer at Prashanti Nilayam, who was arrested with the cash, named Mr K. Sohan Shetty and driver Chandrasekhar, who in turn came out with the names of trust members Ratnakar and Srinivasan.

Mr Mehra confirmed: “The accused confessed the name of trust member as V. Srinivasan.”

Police said that the trust members, Mr R.J. Ratnakar, a relative of Satya Sai Baba, and Mr V. Srinivasan of WS Industries, Chennai, were avoiding coming to the police station to give their statement.

Sathya Sai Trust is crooked to the Core!

LIKE GURU, LIKE TRUSTEES

So, it is clearly Rathnakar and V Srinivasan who have smuggled out crores and crores out of the Ashram (illegal money to begin with that was hidden in Sathya Sai Baba's private bedroom). The police and government, and if necessary, CBI must follow it up and interrogate both the Trust Members, and take affidavits from all the others including VV Giri, Bhagwati, Chakravarti, and Indulal Shah.

All the trust should declare in pulbic the source of donation they get. IT department should enquire and verify that the donated money or ornamantes are from valid source of income.

That money doesn't belong to the trust
by Ganapati P on Jun 21, 2011 08:38 PM  | Hide replies

Unless the Sathya Sai Central Trust can prove otherwise, all the moveable property in the Yajurveda Mandiram was Sai's personal property and the Trust has no claim on it. If Sai left a will the property should be distributed as per the will. In the absence of a will, Sai's close relatives, like nephews and nieces and their children are the only legal claimants to the property. While the Trust taking control of the property by locking it, is not illegal, their attempting to inventory the contents without all the legal heirs or their representatives present is illegal. Of course, the only people who can challenge this are the heirs and they, with the exception of Ratnakar who is a Trust member, seem to be under threats from the Trust, at least if Sai's niece Chetan is to be believed.

Of course, no one, including his nephews and nieces, who claims to believe in Sai's divinity would come forward and seek the courts' intervention to dispose of his property as if he were a regular human being and this is probaby what the Trust members were betting on when they went and siezed his personal belongings. Everything would have worked fine if no one had been caught suspiciously moving cash.

Perhaps the government, while handing over the control of the Yajurveda Mandiram to the Trust, was giving the correupt Trust members a long rope to hang themselves and they seem to have obliged quite readily.

Excellent analysis - legally very sound.

However we will be remiss to interpret this matter strictly on the legal firmness alone.

There are bigger questions: Where did the "personal property" (in excess of 50 crores, at least come from to begin with)?

How much tacit collusion was there in this money laundering scheme between the Trust, the relatives, and by Sathya Sai Baba and his student servitors themselves.

How is the government now to conduct itself and dispose of the matter?

Sai had no known sources of income except gifts from devotees. That part of the property which can be shown to be gifts on whom gift tax had been paid would be exempt from further taxation. The rest will belong to the heirs after the appropriate tax had been paid. Of course, if this had been discovered when Sai was alive and was known to be in possession of gifts on which tax had not been paid, he could have been penalised for tax violation. Since he is not around the only course the law has is to recover the unpaid taxes and leave the rest to the legal heirs. Either way, the trust has no legal standing in the matter, unless Sai executed a will leaving his possessions to the Trust. If the Trust wants to claim that property had always been theirs they would be in deep trouble, since as a chritable trust they had no business holding liquid assets like cash, silver, gold and gems.

SAIBABA OF PUTTAPARTHY IS A SPIRITUAL GURU WORSHIPED WORLD-WIDE.THE EVENTS STARTING WITH OPENING OF HIS PRIVATE ROOM AND THOSE FOLLOWED SHOWS THAT THERE IS SOME CONSPIRACY TO DEFAME BABA OR TO GAIN SOME MONEY.EVEN SAIBABA'S PASSING AWAY WAS NOT SEEMINGLY A NATURAL ONE AS IT HAPPENS IN CASES OF OTHER REALIZED SOULS.HOWEVER,HE WAS AN AVATAR.WE HAVE SEEN HOW JESUS,BUDDHA,KRISHNS BREATHED HIS LAST.WE HAVE KILLED ALL THE AVATARS.THIS IS THE NORMAL NATURE OF PEOPLE.SAIBABA'S CENTRAL TRUST SHOULD BE MANAGED EFFICIENTLY,TRANSPARENTLY AS IT HAS VERY GOOD REPUTATION.MONEY WILL COME IN ABUNDANCE.SAIBABA HAS DEVOTEES REACHING UP-TO 50 CRORES. WE EXPECT THAT THE TRUST HANDLES THE SITUATION EASILY AS IT WAS NOT FOUNDED BY AN ORDINARY MORTAL.IF THERE IS ANY MISTRUST AMONG THE MEMBERS OF THE TRUST THE TRUST WILL FACE SERIOUS PROBLEMS.

The Money Belongs to Baba Only
by Charvak Chanyakk on Jun 20, 2011 06:35 PM

All this loot, sorry, hard earned money, should be kept in safe custody. It belongs to a people's favorite Baba. He has promised to be born again soon. When that baby Baba, reaches age of 18 years, this loot, ooops sorry again, hard earned money, should be handed over to him. The devotees are waiting for Baba to be born again.

some kinds of enlightend masters
by ganapathi on Jun 20, 2011 12:22 PM  | Hide replies

There are amny master who be in bliss by themself but hide themself from outer world to stay in places like himalays or hills like tiruvannamali.
There are some masters who not only be in bliss but display it in a particular common place say ashram or temple so that common people in search of bliss can aproach them to get the inspiration.
There are few masters who display their blissful nature openly to entire generation by travelling many places out of compassion to inspire many people to move towards the path of enlightment.
Masters are one who go beyond the dualities of creation like day/night, man/woman, rich/poor, fame/defame etc etc. It is a different state of living.Only when you taste that glimse you will know the status of the same.
Like, when we are children we cry and get angry even to get or loose things like toy, pencil. Our parents have to enlighten us to get out of worry telling us that don't worry, i will get you another and these are too small things and you need not to worry.
But when we grow physically as adult we cry and get angry to get or loose things like wealth, health, fame etc. Here, enlightened masters come and tell us that these are temporary things and we need not to worry too much for this. They will show you the enlightment path to become adult by mental setup to be blissfull permenantly in any condition irrespective of things happening around you in any manner which are temporay in nature. Masters makes mankind mature in all aspects/blissful

Re: Re: some kinds of enlightend masters

because people are comparing one with other which is waste of time.Like every human is unique, every master is unique in his aproach to enlighten a seeker.
People are of 3 types. 1. driven by intelect/using head 2.emotional/using heart 3.driven by being/using existance.
When they become seekers, they will be atracted by respective frequency master. One who uses inteligence & logic will feel connected with masters like Sankaracharya who gives all explanation from Vedhas,Upanishads,Gita etc to give clarity to seeker. The second kind who uses heart / emotion will get masters like Prabu pada who sings, dance,Chant on lord. The third catogory people who want to know from existance/being will be attracted towards masters who teach meditation.
A jagadguru is one who connects all types of people. Say,Krisha is one of the jagadguru on whom you get Gita for inteligence, Radha for emotion and Yoga for being.
Still we have Jagadguru or Paramahamsas on the planet earth who liberates all types of people. Seekers of particular frequency will naturally go to masters of their feeling connection and get enlightened.
