This Raman folk is funny

seems enamoured of "negative" news from China. lol! Jasmine revolution? Keep drewming. There will be tens of revolutions in India before any so-called revolution is China. As a matter of fact, India doesn't spend a day without going through a "revolution" of sort. Look at your restive states (a loose collection of which make up the modern India). Mr. Raman should be more worried about the present situation in India than dreaming up wild ideas about China.

I think Mr. Ashwin is not completely right. People can think freely, but sometimes cannot act freely because they have to follow the law and order, whether it's communist's law or democracy's law. Each country has its own laws and regulations that its people have to follow; even the best country in this world also has laws and orders that keep people from crossing the line of control.

China born and raised chinese have been completely brain washed by their govt. Many of my china-born chinese colleagues are even angry at mention of religion or human right general disscussion even if it does not concern china. They will take their party's line even if they themself disagree with it. Following Law and order is one thing and not raising against injustice is another. Nobody is talking about armed revolts here. Disagreeing with govts when its wrong in peaceful way is allowed in most of democratic and civilzed conuntries

You are not thinking while you are writing sir. You wrote:
1) \"China born and raised chinese have been completely brain washed by their govt.\" If so how could they have Tienaman Square movement? This tells us that not all chinese are brained washed they can think freely and wait for their chance.
2)\"Many of my china-born chinese colleagues are even angry at mention of religion or human right general disscussion even if it does not concern china.\"
Your chinese colleagues do not represent over 1 billion chinese sir so you should not draw any conclusion here. They might not be common chinese.
3)\"They will take their party\'s line even if they themself disagree with it.\"
Are you talking about the liberal CCP officials? This does not represents majority of chinese people. It\'s just like saying Indians are a bunch of corrupted people while the corrupted ones are many high Indian officers.
I agree with you that people can disagree with govts when it\'s wrong in a peaceful way and this should be done everywhere to protect people\'s right. Sorry that if my opinion might offence you :)

"Look at your restive states (a loose collection of which make up the modern India)."

Actually you are wrong. According to UN statistics, there were more than 100,000 violent mass agitations in China every year for the last few years. No such turmoil exists in India. Unless of course you read your Govt's newspapers...and believe them!
