Whom should I VOTE ??
by vijay patel on Jul 23, 2011 04:45 PM  | Hide replies

Please can anyone tell me which is the honest party, I can vote for.

The size of corruption depends on opportunity available to the parties, there is no big or small corruption.

Please forward this message to as many people as you can

My dear friend,

It is more than evident that our Government is unwilling to enact a strong law against corruption. Because if they did so, many of them would face imprisonment. There is a serious conflict of interest. None of the large scams like the Adarsh Housing scam, the Commonwealth Games scam, the Reddy brothers scam, Fodder scam, Health mission scam of UP, Jharkhand Mukti Morcha scam, Cash for vote scam are covered by government’s Lokpal. What use is such a Lokpal Bill? It is weak and ineffective. It has a very narrow jurisdiction. None of the corruption faced by a common man is covered under it either. Please refer to my recent article news.indiaagainstcorruption dot org on this issue for more specifics on why we think the government draft is not serious about tackling corruption.

Anna’s fast from 16th August is our last hope. We can’t afford to fail this time. For if we fail, we may never get another chance. Its now or never.

A number of people across the country are planning various protest activities. You can organize your own or or you can participate in any manner possible.

1st August to 9th August: Many people across the country are forming small teams and undertaking short and long padyatras. They would talk to people on their way, hold meetings, distribute pamphlets (download pamphlet from indiaagainstcorruption dot org

Lokayukta report
by sridharan r on Jul 23, 2011 03:15 PM

The Karnataka Governor is itching to take action against Yediyurappa on some ground or other as means to put the BJP on a tight leash and please his political bosses in Delhi. The Lokayuktha report may come in handy for him. The sufferers on account of his arrogant, hasty and partisan action will once again be the people of Karnataka. But before this sordid drama unfolds once again, it is for the BJP top leadership to set their Karnataka house in order by asking the CM to step down immediately and face the consequences of the report, come clean and then claim the post, if he feels capable and eligible. The latter happening first will be good for the democracy of India.

MINE OF WISDOM
by Golan on Jul 23, 2011 10:15 AM

THE HYPE ABOUT THE REPORT IS MEDIA MADE. ALREADY ABOUT 2 LAKH MINING WORKERS ARE WITHOUT JOB DUE VARIOUS COURT ORDERS. YEDDI HAS NOT DONE ANYTHING NEW OR SOMTHING THAT THE CONGRESS GOVTS IN STATES AND DELHI HAVE NOT DONE.WHEN MAMMOHAN SINk CONTINUES, WHY NOT YEDDY? THE REPORTS ALWAYS COME. THE RIGHT JUDGES ARE PEOPLE. YEDDY WILL SWEEP IF ELECTIONS ARE HELD BECAUSES THE GOWDAS ARE SECOND TO NONE AND THE CONGRESS HAS NEITHER HEAD NOR TAIL IN KARNATAKA. WE NO LONGER NEED PURITANS AT HELM OF AFFAIRS - AND THEY EXIST NO WHERE IN ANY PART OF GLOBAL GOVERNANCE BUT, WE HAVE TO CONTENDED WITH GOOD AND PEOPLE ORIENTED LEADERS AND CMs. YEDDI BELONG TO THE FIRST CATEGOTY. I AM SURE THAT YEDDY WILL GO TO SOME TEMPLE IN TAMIL NADU AND SAIL OUT OF THE CRISIS WHILE KUMARASWAMY WILL CONDUCT ONE MORE YAGA BECAUSE GOING ON HUNGER STRIKE IS MORE RISKY.BHARADWAJ WILL AGAIN PRAISE YEDDY.GADKARI, THE BJP SWEETSHOP OWNER, WILL SWALLOW THE BITTER SWEET WITH GREAT DELIGHT. I PITY THE NEWS CHANNELS MAKING USELESS DOG BARKKINGS ON THIS WITH THE PARTICIPATION OF JOBLESS AND EVENING TIME POLITICIANS AND EXPERTS.NOBODY WILL BOTHER.
NATIONALIZATION OF MINES IS A BETTER IDEA. BUT AGAIN POLITICIANS, CONTRACTORS, SELF STYLED LABOUR LEADERS WILL LOOT. YEDDI ANYDAY IS BETTER. BECAUSE HE HAS A MINE OF WISDOM OF SMILIMG BROADLY EVEN KNOWING THAT HE IS CENTER OF A CRISIS. Golan
