I don't say it is impossible... it is very difficult to stop any single terrorist attack, but 99 percent of attacks had been stopped.

Gujurat, Tamilnadu and Bengal aim for Independant Nations
by Michio Kaku on Jul 14, 2011 02:26 PM  | Hide replies

Nothing wrong in aiming for independent countries. India , as a federal union has become a fabric with inequality to break with a sneeze in all aspects where few states prosperity will neither allow them to prosper nor to contribute to entire indian federal union of states.

Demarcate your boundaries and start stapling visas for migrants. Let these three independant nations develop a prototype for rest of other federal union of states decide their fate in future in terms of security, development and governance.

What are they doing?
by Anurag Katriar on Jul 14, 2011 01:35 PM  | Hide replies

I am amazed at the reaction of the political class after almost every such terror attacks.

First of all, their ineptness is a major reason why such tragedies take place at such regular intervals but their conduct after the event is even more deplorable. They rush to the spot and to the hospitals with their entourage & What do they do? They only disturb and divert the attention of the cops and medicos in discharging their respective duties and affect the investigation and relief operations at the same time. They want to be briefed (Mind you in full view of TV crew only)for no reason or rhyme.

I can imagine only two possible reason for their 'bravado' - Firstly, to get the fake thrill of being at the site of 'action' and secondly to get seen on TV at the peak viewership hours, which is so expedient to their political existence! What do they achieve otherwise? Their presence does not help the investigation or the medical aid relief operations, they dont provide any active on site leadership during such crisis(whatever leadership support comes is from the control rooms of various govt agencies like police, disaster mgmt cell etc) and on top of that, their presence only adds to the anguish of the relatives of the victims and common man.

I think it is high time that someone puts a stop to such political stunts. If they cannot avert a tragedy, they muct at least not try to hamper the probe and aid exercise for some quick political mileage. Its not done.

You need to blame media too. They are full of stories and rumours. And it was a field day for media and photo journalists. Yesterday, it was visible outside Opera House, when a person was crying for help, the NDDV and TV9 personnel were shooting the incident. And few minutes later couples people from inside Opera House came and lifted this person and put him and sent him in wayside truck to hospital. The media guys were still chasing these people with camera and none of them ever helped this person. It was such a sad state of affairs and shown as live with caption item "Breaking News". Shame on our media.
