Price of being proud

The opinion of this Cherian gentleman is truly something which is an eye opener. His quoting from the Treasure and troves Act and the explaining the meaning of Treasure should settle discussion on how to use the so called 'treasure'. The fact that he is a true lover of our rich historical heritage makes his opinion carry more weight. We deserve more such people who pride their past, whether as a historian or otherwise.

Unlike many psuedos whose main pastime is denigrate everything that is considered as ancestrol to India.

Thanks for a report of discussions with a knowlegeable person. The visual media in our country is really going haywire exhibiting their limited knoledge and understanding. We have to curb these kind o0f impulsive outbursts and structure it to be a useful and purposeful media. The only problem with the governmental interference in such matters it will bring in worst of the talents, looters for exhibiting the articles and make a botch of the entire effort. We are notorious for our'chalta hai' type approach to everything and no sooner all the original articles will be lost and replaced by cheap replicas. On the contrary it may be worth if the themple authorities sell some gold bars and then come up with their own state of the Art museum.

Subsidy mindset is not gone even now. Power free, water free, gas free, rice free, dhoti/saree free... Free distribution of wealth... How many days you people can enjoy on an average...?

British gave autonomy/homeland to Muslims/Christians/Anglo-Indians/Sikhs/SC/ST communities in 4th August 1932 Round Table Conference.
Gandhi/Nehru betrayed them to favor Forward caste in India.

Temple Treasure must be use for common public
by RAJEEV RAJAN on Jul 13, 2011 12:05 PM  | Hide replies

My name is Rajeev, born, brought up as Hindu and I am a strong believer of God having Sarpakavu and Temple in own premise.

In the above said matter we must think of History. When the foreigners came to lute India, they were attacking Temples to rob the invaluable materials. So in earlier India peoples use temples to keep their precious things.

India got freedom and former Kings got compensation why we are assuming that it belongs to Royal Family.

If a sandalwood tree in a common farmer's land Forest Department is not allowing him to cut and use. Then why we should handover these to Royal Family.

Consider it as Dead Black Money and use for the betterness of poor citizens (Loka Samasta Sukhino Bhavanthu).

finally we have all come to a conclusion that the elected governments wont do any welfare measures...so better we depend on such treasures for our own betterment.
B4 suggesting such things, just think what these govts ar doing to us
-Imposing 150% of tax on petrol
-Imposing TOLL for the roads laid
-Imposing 'service tax" even for getting a hair cut
-Imposing price hikes for every product we can think of.

AND WHERE IS ALL THIS MONEY WE PAY IN TAXES GOING??? Y CANT THAT BE USED TO ALL THOSE WELFARE MEASURES SUGGESTED BY ALL OF U?
EVEN if we hand over this to govt....SONIAs/RAJA's /Marans/Pawars are goingt o swindle it off....

BETTER USE THE MONEY ONLY FOR DEVELOPMENT OF HIN DU TEMPLES AND CAUSES ONLY
