voices must be raised against the system'
by t prasad on Jul 13, 2011 07:56 PM  | Hide replies

This article is very interesting. Numerous accidents have taken place till date, but we never plan for preventing these kind of accidents. We have a tendency of acting after the incident has happened, only then we will be in a position to lecture on cause of the accident, how it could have been prevented, how many lives cols have been saved, what went wrong, who was incharge of the office at the tie of accident, what is the compensation package to be given if the person concerned is an Ordinary or common man or a VIP or VVIP. Depending upon the kind of the person involved, the compensation will be paid accordingly. And our idiotic ministers will talk about other countries technology and praise them instead of cleaning our own house. In India every Govt Organization works as one way agreement. They are not responsible for their neglected duties nor are they punished for the same. Since, they are not punished, they take thins light, what may come.

I like this report..
by gopal krishnan on Jul 13, 2011 06:17 PM

Its true,In India no guarantee for human life, nobody bother about it. Still People don't thing about others or society. They don't care about safety and technology. Railway should be divided from central to state government, then there will be more competitive between states then saftey, technology will increase.
There will be no another Anna will born or raise.
People should think and should against the government.
If some accident happen, they don't think how it happen and what we can do to avoid accident, but if an accident happen, they make 2 minutes calm at parliament and give 2 lakhs, does human life in India 2 lakhs? does Mamtha or Rahul travelling in train does these kind of accidents happen what this Government will do?

2 India here
by nitin tomar on Jul 13, 2011 05:17 PM  | Hide replies

There are 2 India here. Every time there is a train accident, why is media bias in showing rescue work happening only for high class like AC coaches. Why media forgets that there is cattle class (general class)in the same train. This itself shows that common man life does not carry any value.

From local train to long distance train, if the train doesnt reach its destination in time or there is any type of inconvenient to travelling customer. There must be some type of law that we should approach consumer court and railway should be penalty and same should be given to customer.

Pathetic railways
by Aryan on Jul 13, 2011 04:33 PM

From now onwards railways should offer upto 75% discount on all tickets for all categories to make up for their security lapses.
They talk of introducing bullet trains with such shoddy infrastructure.
Wonder what would have been the toll had India implemented bullet trains....

by jayakumar on Jul 13, 2011 04:32 PM

the need of the hour is to appoint a Railway Ministry with proper railway back ground, fully through with technology, less dependent on bureaucratic, all these days we had illiterate Railway Ministers. in order to modernize with new technology, passengers safety. they should be trained with modern technology before they assume office.
