Now Rahul baby will say... look the bus was full of farmers....It is Mayavati.. unless congress leaders stop him.... he will rush to the scene and will have food with the people of the bus and will ask for vote to the congress if congress was ruling this will not happen.
it is extremely painful to read about the mishap which could have been avoided had there been an automatic self detecting signal system at the unmanned railway crossing. the signal system should be connected to the fast approaching train(s) and ensure that the signal is VISIBLY RED so that people / driver can think before resorting to take a chance, pl

Lazy fat bum badkari and Dancingqueeen will not say a single word to give moral support to victims but you want rahul to be everywhere.
The loss of life and the suffering of all is surely regrettable and totally avoidable.
People will blame the Railways for this accident. They will demand that there be a Manned Level Crossing. But, a realistic assessment will make it clear that it hardly matters. Especially when people themselves are not concerned of their own safety. It is not uncommon to see that 2 wheelers are tilted and taken from under the Gate and the Tracks are crossed. Pedestrians just cross the Level crossings (even the gated ones) with zero concern to their own safety. Even in Railway Stations, one can see people crossing to the opp platform by crossing the tracks rather than taking the bridge. Nobody can help when such is the indifference of the people. The Right of Way is always for the Train. The Train cannot stop at short notice, given its speed and design.
In the present case, the Bus driver should have stopped. After all a few minutes of time does not matter when lives of so many people are involved.

I suggest like Bus Stands, every unmanned level crossing should have a clear, bright and reflecting display board written in the local, regional and english languages detailing the timing of trains passing through that gate. This will help motorist to be careful before crossing. This should be placed atleast 50 mtrs before the level crossing and one near to the level crossing. Also when night falls, there should Amber Light at both the sides of the crossing to warn the people to be cautious before crossing. If the lights are stolen by the people, nothing can help and people have to accept the outcome of their misdoings. This is not costly when compared to few lakhs being paid regularly to the deceased for no fault of railways but sheet callousness of the people.

They can give compensation but for that they don't have money.

I suggest sengupta, you once travel with the cabin crew and see for yourselves how the crew are alert while on duty. Have you ever thanked the drivers in your heart when you reached safely your destination. They know value of human lives more than the passengers travelling. Comment sensibly.
