Friends, this is the same case in every jail in india..
Frankly speaking 99% of our policemen are filthy corrupt..
It has become part of the daily life, they openly term it is a service charge..
Believe me .. this is entirely based on my personal experience...

why is this news? Any institution in any state in india will be news if it follows 10% of the rules.

It takes 3 bullets to take out these 3 criminals that will also set every thing right in and out of jail. Many of us don't even know what is the meaning of life imprisonment in Indian jails. I heard it is 14 years and upon good behaviour they walk out within 7 years. For a population like ours, we need to impose death penalty. We can learn this at least from from China. Criminals are like mad dogs in the streets. We eliminate mad dogs as we don't want rabis. The same way we need to eliminate murderers and gangsters so that we can walk freely on the roads any time we want. Just do it once and see the difference.

always blaming current PM is not right; did it happen only in this tenure? it is attitude problem of indians, right from disobeying traffic signals, riding on pavements, jumping queue, day passenger occupying railway seats. all are "aam aadmi", no?

What a joke, its the same everywhere!
by Shailendra Singh on Jul 04, 2011 10:41 PM

This article is a joke. This implies as though the jails in other parts of India are from heaven! Go to Tihar jail and if you have the right money you can get anything. Same is true of Arthur Road jail in Mumbai. What kind of junk rediff is publishing these days...

Bribe has its own role in the Indian economy
by Loan Shark on Jul 04, 2011 10:36 PM

bribe can get you off a traffic ticket, get you instant reservation in railways, school admission, drivers license, access to bureaucrats and ministers, waivers on poor quality during inspections and much much more

I think govt should stop paying its employees salaries and make bribery legal with published rates.
