I don't see any good in Indian Army. If they army guys travel in trains,they evict civilians by force and occupy their seats.

Teenager shot in army area in Chennai

It is a very unfortunate incident. Hope he recovers fully. It should be thoroughly investigated. But some of the comments are uncalled for and seem to have a bad purpose: to demoralise the Army and give it a bad name. Some are trying to give it a communal colour!

Army's duty is not to shoot civilians. If they have balls, let them go to the enemy country and gun down the wanted people. The Army idiots loots the tax payers money and in turn kill civilians.

@samudra blr,

Is there any technology available in the world to identify the approaching person is a suicide bomber or unarmed civilian??More over Indian Army's mission is to take control of the area ASAP at any cost.That time no one cannot expect 'police' style approach to tackle the problem.That is why military has been deployed in many areas though the police force is available to guard

Many times chinese army has inflitrated into Indian terrirtory , but the Indian Army did not have balls to strike on them or protest. But in case of 13 year old own country kid, they shoot him. He might have just trespassed by mistake.

@samudra blr,

My query was,Is there any technology available in the world to identify the approaching person is a suicide bomber or unarmed civilian??

Chinese skirmish is totally different subject when we are discussing trespass issue.Indian Military cannot strike back by crossing international borders without permission from top level administration. Moreover Indian policy and Chinese policy is totally different in these issues due to ideologies of both Government(One is Autocrat and another is Democrat).

Here, the security guard's responsibility was to defend any kind of threat at the entry itself.Unfortunately he has no device or technique to identify which one is real threat and vice versa.

@Amarakbarantony, if you really think you need technology to find out if a local looking 13 year old is coming to bomb a residential area, you need psychiatric help. and for justifying a civilian 13 year old you should be a terrorist.

@gac,

Are you thinking that local looking boys are innocent??I request you to do a research on how terrorists gathered information and conducted major strikes in the world before.Moreover I don't want you certificate to go for a psychiatric help as I don't know really who you are !!!

The boy trespassed into a restricted area. The boy was shot at. But people are protesting against the army? Shouldn't they feel proud that the army is vigilant?

@Vikram Raj, you call shooting an unarmed adolescent kid vigilant? even if it is trespassing. no wonder indian navy fearing to see armed srilankan navy who kill indian fishermen, fearing chinese army frm occupying northeastern indian territories. they are good at killing unarmed civilans

in this case its very easy to find out who the culprit is

Find out as soon as possible and make him kneel in front of that boy first and then shoot him in his/her head point blank

Army network is widespread in our country. Army does not have balls to fight the trespassers like chinese army.

Indian Army eating away tax payers money.
by samudra blr on Jul 03, 2011 06:40 PM  | Hide replies

Is this what civilians get in return for paying so much of tax, which is mostly spent on defense? More than troubling the enemies, I think army is more interested in troubling our own country men.
