What we need to have is avoid that "chalta hein" attitude. I am sure the crowd control measures are primitive and unscientific, and the crowd is just rowdy and selfish about him/her having the darshan...so there is always a price to pay..
The thing about Makar Jyothi was known for years and was in selective amnesia. But any one knowing Deva Prashnam will have some solace. The temple opened on Malayali calender day(corresponding to solar entry to rasis) is perfect and no qualms abt it. AND I STILL WONDER WHY AND HOW THE KNOWLEDGEABLE MALAYALEE BROTHERS ARE KEEPING QUIET WITHOUT POSTS.

It has coverage in constitution! HC will have to accept it ! May be they will isuw directives for avoiding stampedes in future! But without the HC's directive the state goivt should have taken action from humanitarian popint of view! All will notice - govts pay less attention till a case develops and then spme directive is given .. Is it administration?

Subodh ! Hindus follow certain rituals , sometimes directly , sometimes indirectly ! I dont know if you are a hindu or got converted to christianity ! But for your knowledge -- hindus have many ways of offering to GOD they choose to woeship ! One way is offer your mite to GOD and the money is put into the box (hundi) mentally worshipping and expressimng his inability to perform pujs directly . The hundi money is to be spent for temple's GOD ! ITS NOT FOR ANY GOVT TO SPEND TO THEIR FANCY! We really do not know where all the money is spent but we feel happy by giving from our hrad earned honest money -not from stolen money!

Well, I don't. Cautioning others. However, this is the way the catolic congress makes sure that temples don't grow. But, see the chuurches cropping up everywhere.
