Why MCOCA cases fall flat in court
by Seenu Subbu on Jun 16, 2011 08:33 PM

"The MCOCA cases initiated against well-known names of the oil mafia -- Antim Totla, Khimji Kataria, Rajesh Gataliya, Lalit Nagpal and Tulsi Singh Rajput -- have failed to withstand the scrutiny of the higher courts"

Why? Deliberate fudging of evidence by criminal prosecutors, judges bought off, indefinite postponement of hearings, and everybody has a price! India, the land of vile bribe takers.

crime rates is the highest in maharasthtra
by brian crasto on Jan 31, 2011 10:39 AM

Maharashtra has beaten UP, Bihar as far as crimes are concerned. The whole system stinks. Right from the politicians, beuracrats, police etc have been taking bribes. They know people will protest for a few days and the matter will be forgotten. The courts are already overburdened with so many cases, so justice will be delayed. The words of Winston Churchill rings so true. "Power will go to the hands of rascals ,rogues, freebooters; all Indian leaders will be of low caliber & men of straw. They will have sweet tongues & silly hearts. They will fight amongst themselves for power & India will be lost in political squabbles. A day would come when even air & water would be taxed in India." We are not fit for democracy

Corrupt and inefficient Maharastra police
by Roshan Sharma on Jan 30, 2011 04:54 PM  | Hide replies

Moharashtra police is the most inefficient and corrupt police in the country. They are just like what is shown in the Indian films, licking the shoes of the dons. maharashtra politicians are also corrupt and burden on the society. They shelter all criminals for their benefit. Only A few honest officers had to sacrifice their lives like this gentleman.

by D goel on Jan 30, 2011 03:12 PM

D. Goel Pkl. afternoon3.10pm, Sunday, Jan 30, 2011.
I am having no special knowledge of the ways of the Mafias that operate in most of muffassil Maharashtra, Bu tby prying the sequence of Events that filter through Press , i can see that Sonawale Killers are well-heeled gang-up of local Congress Party syndicates (MLA ,cooperatives ,Police Officials and variety of small -time gangsters) slowly graduatingi nto burgeoning into big-time dons like infamous Talgahatti of Stamps and other similar Mafia projects like large-scale Oil pilfering and mixing it with diesel to make huge profits.
Some cynics identify such crime syndictes and political Parties gang-up with ground level local self governing Democracies or Panchayati Raj , that we must endure for kind of free society we have built.D. Goel

Oil Mafia

The raids on OIl mafia after the death of Addl. Collector bespeak of the callous attitude of the authorities who are responsible for implementing law. If they could raid so many places within 24 hours then these persons were well known to them, yet no action had been instituted.

By now gov must have sent letters to all the mafia saying that lay low for some time so that no one get caught. After all, all of the mafia world is on the pay roll of gov. Without them there can not be gov. So all of you please stop thinking about change and move ahead. We need petrol and hence mafia is here to stay.
