What purpose does it serve?
by mallaiah anchoori on Jan 31, 2011 10:10 AM  | Hide replies

Is such an article giving big details about the growth of population of a particular religion globally necessary at all.Such irresponsible write ups serving no useful purpose but only having the effect of casting aspersions & igniting feelings of simmering antipathy & anger against by another sections of the population growing at a lesser rate is not the need of the hour..Whether it is the Muslim population that grows,or Hindu populations that increases or Christians that register an increase in their strength, basics of humanity, values, ethics, morals empathy for fellow human fellowing as human beings should remain the same.It is these basic qualities that should be focussed & talked about elaborately instead of writing lengthy on the numerical growths,Media has a responsibility towards the society, country & world at large.By spreading this sort of instigating information, no useful purpose is going to be solved;instead it is likely to ignite the dormant sentimental prejudices in a man. There are umpteen number of useful issues that van be discussed at length for the benefit of the people.Rediff may kindly desist relaying such things. And all said & done, there is some truth when one of the old statistician rightly said-"lies,damn lies & statistics";all the arithmetic worked based on them could as well prove wrong.

Muslims are no more minority in India. But still they enjoy the minority benefits.

You said' Media has a responsibility towards the society, country & world at large.'
I agree with you 100%
But why the media fails?
Lets analyse it!
What is media ? A group of people motivated to act on payment basis !
Is the Govt funding them sufficiently to survive?
and act truthfully?
and taking them up for false
news?
Like that one can develop the thoughts for analysis !
WE DID NOT SEE ANY SUCH GOOD INTENTION !
So anyone who pays media , the media works for him.
People know it already that news though media are always
a MIX of truth and cooked stories!
Again the competition in publishing a news ahead of others have compelledthe media to forego the basics of
its responsibility !
Thats how this news too has come out!
There is no analysis . no discussion no solution !
Justa news!
We know better than is said here !
We know Islamics /missionaries are fighting to spread!
Just today I repelled a call for my conversion into christiaity!
Islamics do it by terror!
WHAT CONCERNS US IS THE
BIASED DEALINGS BY THE GOVT OF INDIA!
CONSTITUTION/LAWS/ WITH THEIR APPLICATIONS ARE SO BIASED !
WITHIN COVERS OF CONSTITUTION , HINDUS ARE BEING HOODWINKED ,THOUGH THIS PART OF INDIA WAS MEANT FOR THE HINDUS !
Just yesterday, a hindu assembly member in Pakistan (under minority quota) had to flee - WHY?
Hindus are most NEGLECTED
against constitutional provisions!
Cant media act on it?
Rather they are highlighting cooked stories against hindu saints!
WE ARE DISGUSTED BY THE PRESE

Dear Pandeji!!!

I understand your concern for the Hindus of whom I too am one. But, basically when such news are preferred to be released on a public forum like this, one should think of its ramifications & impact on the gullible sections of other religions although the honest intentions of the publishers/relayers may not be that.Press is not for lightening & see the fun.It has a social responsibility too.See the editorials of the "Hindu" news parer.Always, they project balanced views & do not highlight some thing which is likely spark ignition of the dormant sentiments of the people. Most of the present day press are just views makers NOT news makers trying to sensationalise & encash the situations whereby they intend to increase their circulation OR by dire need to withstand the competition.Does this news indirectly not send wrong signals to the other religion people that they are getting reduced into minority compared to the people who are growing in number.Fundamentally, religion is an intoxication under the influence of which several atrocities of which terrorism resorted to by a particular religion people too are taking place. The duty of a good journalist is to avoid dwelling-that too very elaborately like this,on such subjects.Although, what all I write may sound odd & unpalatable, the bitter truth remains like that. And as I said already, these statistics & their source can

now i know you are communist because the Hindu is a communist leaning paper.. there is no point in ignoring the truth it is a fact that world over muslims are the aggressors, when they are in a majority they deny even the basic rights to minorities, and they want all rights for them in other places.. who cares for the opinion of the The Hindu newspapers everyone knows that it supports good for nothing communists.that is why its circulation is stagnant.

fact is they were ruler for 1200 years. then why to blame others.they are given permission to live in india despite their land is given to other side in 1947.
their most youth have pastime of luring other community girls & converting them to their faith after marriage. atleast seen in india.go to any city in india you will find them same.99% taxes are given by majority communty ,but m people are given special money minority schems ,hajj subsidy(rs 88ooo rs per head to 1.5 laks per year)isnt right

Sir,
1. This is a global news widely published throughout the world. Rediff has just put the same news in their format
2. Let us not have Ostrich like attitude by ignoring any fact- even if it is a little bitter, it is better to face the truth rather than regret later. In this case, increase in Muslim population has a serious ramification for the freedom of the country. With a slightly higher percentage, Muslim will unite, get elected democratically, and declare it Islamic country. There are quite a few Muslim whose ambition to rule India again is not a secret. We have seen what happens to thegeographical area where the Muslims are in majority. This Country will go to dogs if Muslim percentage increases. Forceful marriage of Hindu women will contiunue unabated. I can go on listing here thousands of such problem. But what is the use as most Hindus are like you who prefer to look the other way when their kids are forced to marry as they just fear the mean muslim mentality

The percentage will be much more. They want to increase their population so that more members will be there to demand bigger stake in fewer resources, ensuring a dissatisfied mass to achieve their political agenda. Just like the way the marxist do in West Bengal to retain more people below poverty line so that their vote bank remains in their favour.

It's quite shameful to see so many Indians disapproving so many other Indians based on one's beliefs. "An eye for an eye will make the whole world blind" and we certainly are living in a blind world where corporations and corrupt governments are "legally" able to dictate our ways of life, where stealing from the poor and giving to the wealthy has become a global norm.

Don't you all think that it is time now to banish our differences and see how we all are alike and stand up for what is right and what's not? As long as we stand divided, united we shall fall. The same matter, the same blood and the same soul permeates through us all. We are all alike in more ways than we choose to accept. So why condemn and disapprove when we can all achieve inner and outer peace together and build a better future, if not for us, then at least for our children because I am sure no parent would want their child living amongst the judgemental intellect that we pass off as society today.

When one's beliefs are a threat to the others existence it will be disapproved. Check History mate. No need to go anywhere. Check the events in the last century in our country and you will see what we mean...

@ Utpal pal:
If i go by your statement baring mention of Modi(which you can debate upon) all other names you have mentioned as anti-national ... then no one in India will remain a nationalist...
then you will surely have only the names mentioned by Krishna as Nationalist ... and of course U r the leader of them all ...

dont pass un-necessary comments if u can't judge people.... u cant place the above mentioned ppl in league of D Co.
