I know Swami Aseemananda since long. He is a great person.While studying M.Sc. in Burdwan University, he offered Satyagraha on behalf of RSS against the notorious Emergency of Indira Gandhi, and remained in jail for 3 months. For that, he could not appear in the final exam that year(1976) and lost one year. After completion of his M.Sc. in Physics next year, he dedicated his whole life for the service of the tribal people of our country. In fact, he started first three Vanabasi student's hostels of Vanabasi Kalyan Ashram in West Bengal. The first hostel is at Bagmundi of Purulia district. Other two are in Balarampur and Kumari in the same district. He took Deeksha from one great saint in Himalaya. He also helped to build a hospital of Ramakrishna Mission in the dense forest area of Chhtisgarh. Then again he worked for Vanabasi Kalyan Ashram in Andaman, Gujarat and Maharashtra. Everybody can see his creation at Shabri Dham in Dang district in Gujarat. Swami Aseemananda, as I know him, is a Saint in true sense. He never compromised in life. He lives for Dharma and he will die, if necessary, for Dharma only. - TAPAN GHOSH
