Pranam to the evolvor of new variety of GUAVA!! The traditional knowledge of farming in India is centuries/millenniums old. It is pathetic to see this knowledge is being looked down upon by the neo-scientists. These neo’s can take lessons from the farmers of villages. It is time the govt to introduce lessons in classes on traditional farming. The students should get inspired by men like Mr.Khan. Do we have any documents showing the many varieties of plants developed like this in the past? This knowledge like this should be patented. Or in due course it will become someone else’s property!!! The MNCs working for genetic modifications of plants should change their track and follow nature friendly researches. The problem is that it is time consuming. MNCs are looking for fast bucks!! Only a govt with a will can change the philosophy of research.
never heard of this fellow before!! thanks to our govt help people like these are never recognised,(and many in the IT schools) soon he would be lapped by abroad agenceies and countries to work and prosper for them.soon neem oil will be marketed by the chinese

Did u read the whole article..? He was awarded PadmaShree. But, the issue of concern is whether any patenting has been done..?? if not, within years of his death some MNC would take the patent on their name..and then our govt may - if it gets media attention - wake up and fight a real looooong hopeless legal battle....!!

Padma Shree diya toh kya? with due respect. I read that. I can say that I keep very well with news/current affairs but never heard about this man. Not that he is of past era or passed away b4 my birth, he is alive and tx to rediff I know him now. Forget govt, even if there was any patriotic company that wants to help him out!! Many ITians come up with new things like that auto in recent times that run on water! what happend to him and many more ? Padma Shree is honouring ofcourse, then what?Govt needs to invest in such research. BUT WHO IS BOTHERED?. He would not move abroad maybe becoz of age but youngsters given a chance would!eg in last olympics an original cameroon man did weight lifting for australia, but 4years b4 that he was participating in olypics for cameroon. He got Aus citizenship he liked it and other things and got Gold for Aus. We do have a gymnast- Ashvini?he is only on his own motivation, no support from govt, is there?maybe but i dont think so!!cu
If the Guava tree is 3.7 feet long then Kaleemullah should be shorter than that. Look how he is raising his hand to catch that guava. Does not make sense. There must be some exaggeration to this story
