My Fellow Telangana People
by Al Ringer on Jan 08, 2011 07:30 AM  | Hide replies

My perspective:

1. Yes, it would be great to have a state of our own, where we can chart out our own destiny. But the reality is, this is a political process and we are never sure of outcomes. Whatever happens we need to put an end to this major distraction and drain on our energies.

2. Let's be honest, there are many areas where we did not develop as well as we would have wanted to, but we cannot blame Andhra and Seema people for all our problems. We share a part of the blame for our own problems.

3. In the end, it is not Govt. that can make a big difference to our lives, it is peoples' vision and our enterprising work that can change our lives

4. Where are our Enterprises? I have not seen many of our people taking risks, investing money and starting new businesses. This is what is needed to provide jobs to our own folks and in our own tows.

5. Only in the last 10 to 12 years we have some of our politicians starting engineering, medical and nursing colleges in the state. But not many enterprenuers have ventured into manufacturing and services. This is what we need to lift our people from poverty by giving them jobs.

6. Finally, we need renaissance and new awakening in Telangana to get our people into channeling energies into improving our own lives. Education is going to the key. Development culture is the essence.

7. Let's hold our politician accountable and keep up pressure on them. But in the end it is we the PEOPLE who can make the DIFFERENCE.

Thank you.

Hi Al Ringer,
Being a big state helps in getting bigger investments and a better bargaining power with the federal govt.

Why do you think Uttar Pradesh used to get most of the public & private sector investments during the Licenceraj. It had the biggest no of MPS in the parliament.

AP govt. during Chandrababu Naidu's reign could dictate terms to the central govt. because of the fractitious mandate at that time. Many developments to Hyderabad were done during his regime.

Being bigger helps in a federal set up with so many states competing for limited funds.

Do you ever see Goa being considered for any major project by the central govt. This shows that being bigger and united definitely helps

I am an Indian born to parents who migrated from Rajahmundry, now in Singapore, but never lived in Andhra Pradesh. All my life I lived in Chennai and never faced discrimination of not being a Tamilian. I have a large friends circle, dispersed all over the world, that includes Tamilians, Telugus from all three regions, Malayalees, Kannadigas practicing all the three major religions of India. In my professional life I have never ever discirminated anyone on the basis of region, language, religion etc.

I would like to call myself an Indian

It pains to see so much of bile being spilled on these forums.

I would attribute the rise in economic well being of people from Andhra region is their investment in education. That can be clearly seen in the Vijayawada - Guntur belt. Parents in Andhra tend to sell all their properties, take loans and invest in their children's English education. That investment certainly seem to be lacking in Telangana areas.

Telugus in software industry mostly seem to be coming from the so called Andhra regions. This is true even in Singapore local firms, which may not even know what Telangana & Rayalaseema are.

Let us be united and strive for betterment of all people in all regions of AndhraPradesh and avoid disruptive activities like bandhs, agitations etc.

I am posting this message here, because this is first level headed message I found on this forum

Varrey Krishna Mohan Rao

You seem like a fool. Nothing will happen to Telugu or Telugu speaking people even if a separate Telangana is formed or not

What is wrong if a separate state will be build??? According to me if in a family one member is not satisfy and wants to be separate then allow him for this. Why telengana people are asking for new state people needs to think about this?
Why telengana is backward?
What happened to Jharkhand and Uttarakhand after separation. Nothing went wrong to UP and Bihar.

Congress is mostly responsible for all the problem in this country.

OK cool, finally we have a supporter of my ideology. So dear friend, the people of Ranga Reddy are vexed with Telangana and Andhra people exploiting them. And there has been a demand for separate Ranga Reddy State. Let us enlighten people on internet about our udyamam, my brother. Lets kick Andhra and Telangana people's butt out of Ranga Reddy, join hands, my brother.

Not smaller states, but "decentralization" is what gives development.

BJP's stand on smaller states is not well thought out.. they are right in theory of decentralization, but they r wrongly translating that into "smaller states".

Jarkhand and uttarakhand had elections almost every year. Within this, Mr. Koda looted several hundred crores that is meant for the state.

What koda did there will be done by KCR OR his family members

Seemandhra is like a Wife from Hell
by UsualSuspect on Jan 08, 2011 04:21 AM  | Hide replies

For Telangana, Seemandhra is like a wife from hell who constantly nags, spends money on herself, neglects her children, wants the lion's share of the family's resources, manipulates family members and outsiders, plays victim when needed, etc.

The patient Telangana husband has tolerated this wife from hell for a very long time. But even the mildest husband can only take so much.

frankly, you guyz are under delusion. There is no backwardness in telangana like everone thinks. We are brothers. Dont think telangana is any separate culture or anything. Just of nizam's rule, there is some changes in the language. Except that, there are not any differences.

This entire movement is just for one mans greed. Dont fall for it dont spread hatred.

Even telangana is becomes separate state, nothing dramatic would happen.

Even after ruling more than 50 years, Congress did not do anything for country. Andhra is one of the example. Who ruled the state mostly???
CONGRESS.
Why did ruling government not worked evrywhere in rular area??? Mostly they were busy of looting the poor and making money. And if you are very honest and have independent personality then you will never get better oportunity in Congress. And who will rule both state ? CONGRESS.

85% of agitators in OU campus look like this.
They turned 27 years of age and still call themselves as students, eating in the hostels like Bandicoots.

When these uncles and aunts leave the University campus is still a puzzle to many.

Telangana seems nowhere near and it also seems these thugs will stay in campus fo another decade.
