There was another shake 7.1 in September last year that caused some of the buildings to collapse some structures were pulled down as they were unsafe. But the epicentre of yesterday's earthquake was close to the city. That is the reason we have lot of casualities. On top of it, the weather was very bad yesterday. But rescue efforts are going on.

It's because the epicentre was only 5 km below the city and 10 km south of it. Damage is not only related to the figure but also location
