not allowing people from other-states
to graze into their own field.

The Court Verdict on Ghastly Train Burning&killing of more than 80 Hindu Pilgrims Has Proved the true natue of hate-filled terrorist gujrati&indian muslims and Narendra Modi has been Shown to be THE REAL SAVIOUR OF HINDUS and all the pseudos-secular and anti-hindus must go and commit suicide incuding the bribed and baised media persons and intellectuals and the anti-hindu TV channels like cnn-ibn,times now, ndtv, etar nws etc which were busy maligning and terrorising hindus and maligning and hounding Modiji and his ministers and colleagues must hang their head in shame or better commit suicide for their shameless campaigns without the mimimum of conscience. All hindus must not only boycot the anti-hindu TV channels like cnn-ibn,times now, ndtv, star news etc and must boycot all the products being advertised in these anti-hindu and anti-national channels and websites too.We Hindus, do not need words, but we need national agitation and revolution and action to clean up the demons and demonesses and crooks and looters and anti-nationals. Shame, 85 crore moronic and ennuch hindus, we do not need paper tigers, but real tigers now. We need thousands of real freedom fighters and brave warriors like bhagat singh, mangal pande, nathuran godse to save us 85 crore hindus from terrorist minorities&foreign agents&crooks and looters.Fake freedom fgihters& british double agents like mahatma and nehru have wrecked our nation already

coffee club talk
by Ramesh on Feb 21, 2011 02:41 AM  | Hide replies

The context of the issue has been assumed by Mr Sikand. Apparently Mr Vastnavi, the VC of Darul Uloom, Deoband, has resigned. But his resignation has not been accepted it by the concerned authorities.

The trigger it seems is his praise of Mr Modi. Mr. Vastnavi is from Surat and is surely entitled to a positive view on the CM of his state. But it has touched a raw nerve in the minds of many Muslims, for very understandable reasons. It is also politically very explosive.

Mr Vastanvi is also associated with an effort to introduce secular education in parallel with religious studies, with no interference or any changes to the religious instruction. So there is no religious controversy associated with him.

It is not clear whether the free speech right would prevail or his resignation accepted. If Mr Vastanvi continues, it seems it will have an impact in introducing secular education in other Islamic religious institutions as many of them already do e.g. West Bengal. The Modi controversy has brought to fore the debate to prioritize modern education along with religious studies. The obscurantist sections, as Mr Sikand calls them would lose decisively.

Accepting continuation of Mr Vastanvi by those who politically disagree with him shall also have a salubrious effect of depoliticizing this once great Institution. Operating purely in cultural-education-religious space may be the healthy development which could regain its national relevance, his continuation appear to indicate.
