Biased and racist media has been of great concern in India. In recent months, various scams have unearthed which have exposed TV journalists in India lobbying government for corporates and hurling abuses at citizens and media watchdog folks who questioned their motives. We did a case study on one such journalist Sagarika Ghose who is also deputy editor of CNN-IBN, CNN's sister channel in india. Google Sagarika Ghose Case Study for complete study and its first link.
the sexual attempt made on the journalist is an attempt to the right of freedom of speech.Media played a great role in change of peoples thinking and also to bring change in political system.
With the obsession of the foreign media and also picked up by others including our own Times Now, Headlines Today.... to report stone by stone throw live report of any such events, this was bound to happen.
It all started with Christian Amanpor then with CNN reporting the first of the American war on Iraq in 1991/92. And has now become a trend to do live reporting with TV reporters and crew in very dangerous situations. When you are in the midst of hundreds of thousands of people, and many in a delirious state of frenzy, you cannot expect anything else. Besides TRP ratings, these TV co's must also look at sensible / safe reporting.

Well Written & summarised.Price for Individual's ( woman )ambition in man's ( may we say jungle raj) world.Women should stay away from certain careers, they should know by this time , world is still divided. There cannot be equality whatever we may say about modern day progress on women's emancipation etc.
Hope it doesnt face the same problem like iraq now or iran or afghanistan, rooted frm prokistan. now no one could visit egypt to see pyramid, again, may be it could get destroyed like taliban did to the great Budha statue in afghanistan. If a rain comes, then they would hail Al11ah, as HIS blessings.
Women have almost no rights in Egypt, since the culture justifies everything in the name of Sharia. Being non-moslim there, means locals will treat your women as "fair-game." Just be careful if you go to place like this, and stay with your team.
During riots, upheavels, wars etc its a law of the jungle. Being of the fairer sex they can be abused easily if things go wrong. So called bold attitude does not work in these areas. In fact it happens to normal women during normal times in india so it could be worse in a disturbed area. So a female should avoid such places.
