Rajiv Gandhi & Bangarappa
by niladri mohanty on Dec 27, 2011 03:51 AM

Reuest the editors to be correct on facts. In 1992 Rajiv Gandhi was already dead and therefore could not have been 'unceremoniously dropped dropped by Congress at the insistence of late Rajiv Gandhi'

Change, if you don't FIT and LIKE
by Praveen Goud on Dec 27, 2011 02:58 AM  | Hide replies

One has to change the party ,if it doesn't fit one's principles.

Don't get struck as a SLAVE for SHOWY business. That would be HYPOCRISY. Be in a party, if you like and change if you don't like.

If being under a party allows one to express freely to an extent of criticising one's own party or members, it makes sense.

Politicians should speak up, criticise his own party to an extent of their leaders. If you don't criticize or change party, the ultimate result will be PRAYING or getting ENSLAVED to what is happening in front of Sonia Gandhi or Monarchs in Europe or Middle East.

There should be freedom for criticising party principles, policies and reforms too.

S Bangarappa - Colorful & Charismatic Politician of Karnataka
by Suresh Babu on Dec 27, 2011 01:42 AM

S Bangarappa is the only one colorful, charismatic, daring and dashing politician of Karnataka. Like all other politicians he had good and bad things.

To list some of his good and popular schemes are Ashraya (house for poor people), Aaradhana (respecting all religions and paying an amount to construct their praying places like temple, church, masjid), Vishwa (loan at a low interest to backward and economicall weaker section), Grace marks for educated rural people, Akshaya - (paying daily an amount to poor parents so that they will send kids to school in the villages instead of sending them to labor work), free electricity to poor farmers etc etc.

As we all know, most of the politicians are corrupt and power hungry. Look at the current central govt itself - flooded with scams, BJP govt in Karnataka - corrupted and many scams, DMK govt in TN etc etc.

Though, Bangarappa had some scans in his quota also, he implemented good programmes to the people of Karnataka.

Another bad thing he did was jumping from one party to another party. Had he stayed in Cong or BJP, he would have either become CM again or central minister!! No doubt, he is a daring, dashing and a colorful politician of Karnataka.

May god give strength to his family to withstand this pain and may his soul rest in peace.
