So long as 1 second continues to be 1 second, you continue to live for the same amount of time. The number of years is just window-dressing

So far, the only particle that as per CERN laboratory's findings has arguably travelled faster than light has been Neutrino, that too a fraction of a second faster than light. This small fraction of a second is the reason why the findings are arguable. It is because such minor fractions can be attributed to errors.

Mr.sridhar. can you plz quote the rigveda versus. Often vedas say something and ppl tend to alter that statement to fit into science. Then claim rig veda knows everything. Can vedas tel when wil india come out of superstition.

Not wanting to support his claims but just to keep vedas out of all this, if India were to follow the vedic and upanishadic philosophies, India could have well not been a superstitious country at all. It is some charlatans and frauds that hijacked the vedic religion and redesigned the religion based on what suited them. Hence the superstitions. Vedas and Upanishads are a collection of thought experiments and they encourage us to ask questions. Something similar to what the ancient greeks followed till Aristotle arrived.

In a famous book Cosmos, by renowned Science writer Carl Sagan, he has credited the ancient Indian scriptures of at least being right on the fact that the universe is billions of years old and not just 5000 years old as believed by the western world till the better part of second millenium.

Those are copied, trained and transplanted into Indian minds using Jesuits and German theological scholars between 17th to 18th Century.

All those are counterfiets and Phatom lies.

You are taught from childhood, who is HERO, Who is King, Who is Queen and Who is Villain.

After you have grown up, if someone denies those are FAKE and FOOLED, it would be hard for you to come out of that Illusion. But just, counter them as yours.

How to get there
by P Reddy on Dec 06, 2011 03:10 PM  | Hide replies

The only way to get there is send few men and women in a solar powered spacecraft and let them continue thier family by giving birth to their children. Mebbe the 10th generation of that team will reach the planet.

10th generation will be nowhere close to this planet. Moreover, where will they grow the food that they are going to need? There will be no sun or other stars near them whose lights will help the plants they try to grow, to photosynthesize! Unless human beings accidentally find out a worm hole which takes them along a shorter path than the path taken by light!

Have you been gazing at the sky for more than million years? How are you able to see all those stars and galaxies up above, some of which are more than million light years away?

The planet is 600 light years away, which means what you are seeing today is how it looked 600 years ago. It does not mean that you have to look at the planet for 600 years to be able to see it!

yep, as gaius said check parallax in google. Parallax works only upto 400light years. for objects beyond it they use a method known as brightness measurement. google is miracle now.

If you ask too technical question ppl wil get bored.

600 yrs is not too long for planet. Some trees on earth can survive 600yrs. Unless there was a natural disaster like comet or meteor shower planet should stil be there. it is more of a hope that one day earth wil die and we got to start looking at new home

Unless the Mayans of that planet made a doomsday prediction according to which on 21st December 1400, Planet Kepler will end, there is a near 100% probability that it still exists.
