Americans have killed thousands of civilians in Iraq and Afghanistan. There is no need to sympathise with them. You go to war against armed people, you kill or get killed.

at least Americans have the balls to die....Indians have sold out Tibet, Nepal, and ALL bordering countries...including the pride of every Indian and national security....India will ALWAYS be a third rate country because of that.

by Ayon Pradhan on Aug 10, 2011 02:32 AM  | Hide replies

This was a tactical defeat for the US, much like on October 11/ 1987, the Indian Army carried out a raid on Jaffan University. The raid, bungled by Indian High Command, based on faulty intelligence by R&AW, sent 150 men into a trap that the LTTE had set for them. When the smoke cleared, 35 Indian jawans lay dead. And the Indian Army fought on...

Keep in mind, the Americans have won many of these tactical engagements against the taliban and other insurgents. this is just a speck in their eyes. I have said it once and i will say it again. We have brave soldiers, but we need better training. We need to go and model our forces especiallly special force like Americans. We could never engage the afghans like them.

US will not retreat
by Sharique sami on Aug 10, 2011 01:30 AM  | Hide replies

The united states will not retreat from afghanistan becouse its a part of great game which is playing again. they have to make a pipe line from CIS countries to arabian sea. to reduce the european dependence of russian gas and oil.
Its we stupid pepole who belive its war on terror but actually they are waging the war for securing economic intrest.
What should india have to do in these senario.
we have ro go ahead with iran pakistan india gas pipe line and secure our own energy needs. plus we have to make our foreign policy independent from american ifluence....
In international relations no one is permanent friend or enemy.. only intrest of our owm nation is supreme... jai hind

In fact, enlightening comment. we all have these days fallen prey to the biased and joint media false propoganda to project america as a hero and saviour. Unfortunately very few are able to see through it. Most are indulged in hate comment activity spreading the venom and hurting the Motherland and playing puppets to the pseudo nationalist. Let us not get bogged down by comments and new by those who have closed their eyes and hearts puposely. Let us be strong and continue the straight path adhering to non voilence and our heritage of patriotism and humanity.

Why US is in afghan ?

Because if we turn the table and assume that Religious psychos got all the Military power which US have, then they will not take minutes to nuke the infidels, where ever they can find them.

If they get finished with infidels, then they will declare some weaker members among themselves as infidels with whatever excuse and pretext and then kill them.

Also there will not be one single war crime, because killing/raping/torturing infidels will be there religious duty.

Before India begins to speak, we should recognize that we can never duplicate what America or the Russians do on the battlefield. Our country is corrupt--just look at the humiliation we brought on us at the commonwealth games. Furthermore, we are impotent to terrorist attacks on our own land. We left Sri Lanka in disgrace. China beat us. Pakistan continues to harrass us. What do we do? What do we have? Nothing. Just some false pride and a sense that we have a great military. The US has the best trained soldiers and Marines. We should learn from them. At least they go an kill their terrorist and have the ability to project force. We, unfortunately, do not.

A humiliating retreat from Kabul in store for US?
by JGN on Aug 09, 2011 03:36 PM  | Hide replies

Well, Mr.Raman. The US Defence spending is more than the Defence spending of all other countries in the world put together. There is no way the rag-tagTaliban and defeat them. It is only because the US is behaving in a much more civilized manner that they are suffering some causalities. They can end the same in just two days time if they want. So it is till not time to wirte the obuary of USA.
