Re-arrange coach distribution
by DSRao on Apr 19, 2011 08:58 AM  | Hide replies

Railway authorities should re-arrange coach distribution. This is not the first time that fire from pantry car had spread to other coaches causing loss of life and property.
I suggest that, pantry should be put at the end of the train, i.e., pantry should be the last coach of the train. This will limit the spread of fire to other coaches.

what does the 'Guard' in trains do? I do not know if he does anything worthwhile apart from showing green flag even if passengers come under the wheels. will some one clarify the guard's role?

BR chopra made the film in 1980. 30 year since we still are not anticipating the disaster nor taking preventive measures.
Railway authorities pl. see the movie , it is shown on UTV movies regularly.

The Burning Train (1980) was inspired by the Japanese Super hit movie of 1975 “Shinkansen Daibakuha”

Are chalta hai bhai ... nobody is dead right ? even if someone is dead it was his "Kismat"...

This is the Indian Mentality ...and it shows everywhere ... Life is cheap in India. As long as Mamta Didi gets an upper hand in WB she won't care and neither will the Babus in the Govt. and the Moron who writes abt "Marathi and Bihari" ware the ones responsible for this attitude.

Some messages mention that Mamata is busy with WB election. Do these people expect that Mamata should be there in half an hour with a fire hose?

Damn right Vikram !! I travelled by train from Dunkirk to Paris approx 3 hrs journey 2nd Class and the fare was 68 Euro (More than Rs 4000!!). I had to change trains in between and could see that some trains on other routes were 6-8 hrs late

I think he asked a legally valid sensible question that can be raised at any commission of enquiry on Godra burning. By dismissing his question as idiotic, you're only revealing yourself. The issue he tried to raise was that since the fire at Rajdhani was accidental, passengers could escape. However, in the case of Godra, since easily flammable petrol was thrown in, the coach burnt down so fast escape became impossible.

Basic English - Class 2 english
by Miss on Apr 18, 2011 09:51 PM  | Hide replies

Luggage in itself is collective noun. So there is nothing called "luggages", unless it is of different people. And you should always use "was" with luggage and never "were". Go back and revise your grammar before writing another article.

Well Miss - don't worry about writing so called good foreign language - called English - as the main purpose of the news is to understand quickly rather than concentrating on the language itself, as this is not an English class and no one is attending an exam in it.
