It is a pauper's dream ! Amateurish reporting,I think rediff is not aware of China's stronghold on CIS countries.

I cannot understand the logic of the headline. You are just intending to buy fuel ...

If you really want to progress like China, you must achieve the followings at par with China:

1)Achieve 95% literacy(this is China's literacy rate)

2) Convert 55% population to urban population(from present 25%).

3)Produce all weapons indigenously like China, stop importing weapons

4)Achieve GDP PPP per capita equal to China's $7500,presently India is lying low with GDP PPP $3300..

5)Achieve massive infrastrucuture development like China

6) Achieve export target of $ 1.5 trillion(equals to China) from current $ 200 billion...

Our media reporting is like "empty vessel sounds much " !

after australia refused to sell its uranium to india,& japan's refusal to furnish its updated nuclear technology, india had no alternative but to approach kazakhstan(kzt)for uranium, which india needs badly for its upcoming nuclear plants. kzt is indebted to china for the $25-30 billion infrastucture investment in its country, how far kzt will oblige india is a? mark, since chinese influence on that country is very evident, infact in the entire central asian(c.a) countries, where china & russia have cornered all the oil exploration contracts.even america & other western countries have not found an entry, thus where does india stand.moreover these c.a countries have very good relations with iran,as all of them being landlocked use iran's ports for their imports & exports. today india probably is one of the most hated countries in iran, because of india's voting against iran twice in the UN. c.a countries are all having muslim majority, thus their hate for usa is evident,& india being a usa stooge even more spoils the show.

Chinese Strategy and Indian Response

China wants a military stronghold in Central Asia, Myanmar, Sri Lanka and Mauritius, so that they can squeeze India from all directions.

India is interested in "Friendly Relations" and "Cultural Programs".

China produce their weapon endogenously and less corruption there. In India our leaders are busy in corruption, importing foreign weapons and making money as commission . A country never be strong by purchasing foreign weapon only.
