What shame? This fellow author should have clarifed propelry on this matter. Nobody is a fool to misunderstand a clandestine 'subtle' writings..
that too these punks write after so many years with their own 'scholarly' interpretations since gandhi cannot defend.

Mr Bidwai Conviently forgot write about congress when they banned books written by Salman Rushdie and Taslima Nasreen. He was hiding when Cartoons were published about Mohammad. He comes out of the cave when right wing politicians do some thing.
He was calm when books about Sonia Gandhi was banned.
Shame on you Mr Bidwai, Grow up and be consistent all along

if modi were milosevic according to this headless chicken praful then he can run for his life. the way media and so called intellectuals have cornered modi its a shame.

greater shame on muslim leaders who had criticized kasab after much anguish...they were unwilling to own him. in hindus we have too much intellectualism... other religions are simple and they love only their kin.... we in hindus always act like broad aaaaasssed...so everyone comes and gives his pryyyk,

I would give benefit of doubt to Mr. Gandhi because if he got something to hide, then people around him should be able to confirm it or have evidence which can be cross-checked from multiple sources.

If letters send to a friend by Mr. Gandhi are source of issue, then they did not prove/disprove anything. Most likely the words used are just jokes and sarcasm of one close friend with another because in those days the public media might not have been forcing alternative lifestyle in your head all day.

Now with media portraying that relation between two man are mostly lust, people feel nervous even to hug their brother or to hug their friends in festivals like Holi, Don’t know what people around are going to think ? Mr. Gandhi may not have thought about this question in his days.

Anyway I think the article is biased, if other side speak or write whatever by claming freedom of expression then article writer will be the first to accuse the other side of fomenting social-unrest and creating trouble.

Allowing criticism is good for society in long run, we cannot see dirt on our back but other person can see it and thus help us clean it. But its up to the decision makers on the ground to assess the situation and decide whether criticism is healthy or its only intention is to bully and need a little bit of rude response.

As long as Mr. Modi don’t put a bounty on the book writer head or imprison him, I will not criticise their Government decision too mu

why our mofo so called secularist congresss supporters have to always rub it into our face ?

its no suprise that western baaastidss always want to do research about india in a negative light. its no surprise ...they did this in past and created aryan invasion theory which was never proven by any means ...archeological or anything else .... westerners are masters of conspiracy and weaving correlations. thats how they fool whole world.

i hope our Ahole intellectuals don't endorse western views of morality and broadmindedness ... i am sykkk and tired of our half baked rascals bad mouthing their own countrymen and endorsing some tom dykkn harry .... before i lose my patience i warn all my countrymen to behave ...the day i take control of this country i wont spare a thought before publicly executing all those who have tampered with its great heritage

Root cause of corruption is that we only poke into others life
by rational on Apr 17, 2011 02:14 AM  | Hide replies

We Indians are very much bothered with other person's personal life rather than his public work.

We tend to be highly emotional over subjects like Sex, lust etc. That is how politicians fool general public and themselves enjoy a western life.

Personal morality etc. is only deeply delved by middle class only and so for whole life it is worried about their girls/women: their protection, their marriage etc. which actually put more harm to girls/women as they become sort of slave.

When will be grow up and start only looking only at public services of persons who are in public life.

corruption is not only monetary but casteism, nepotism, reservation etc are also corruption.

Had indian society be not casteist and only always looking for "jugaad" & "connections through caste", then their would have been no use of reservation.
We ourselves have made the life hell for ourselves through our mean and narrow mentality.
