Masses have to rise up against corrupt chamchas!
by Grizzly on Apr 25, 2011 11:49 AM  | Hide replies

Since independence, our grandparents, parents and us have heard innumerable promises from political parties and leaders to make our lives better but nothing much has changed.

Generations in India have watched smaller and bigger countries develop and whiz past us to the mountain of success while we still languish at the foot of that mountain of success.

Take the example of Japan and Germany, they were devastated during the second world war. When they surrendered in the mid 1940's most of Germany and Japan were razed to ground and there was hunger, poverty and disease. India also got liberated in the mid to late 1940's and was in a more or less same position. BUT, while Japan and Germany quickly turned around and put themselves back on track, India went into the downward spiral of corruption. By mid 1970's Germany and Japan were developed countries with solid, stable economies, while India was struggling to stay afloat in poverty, corruption and mismanagement. Similar story with South Korea and most of Europe, while they rose from ashes, India was embroiled in its struggle against corruption.

And even today, while we have one fifth of the world's polulation, our economy is barely one 25th of the world's output! While we have the largest English speaking population in the world dominated by English language, our literacy rates are still in the mid 70 percents.

While we have one of the most fertile lands in the world, we have food shortages and farmer suicides!

My dear, there are many ways out. But unfortunately the gates of all the ways, are guarded by the corrupt, with AK-47 or even more advanced weapons to kill anyone who dares cross the gate. The ones who have to fight Corruption are the most corrupt. Who has to stop corruption? If any Prime Minister can say "Yes. I am responsible & I take the responsibility" but happily continue to rule the roost, just imagine, what can happen to this Country. Even Gaddafi & Mubarak never accepted that any of their Ministers were corrupt. All the times, they were saying that "they are the saviors of their Country & people. They may be corrupt but never accepted. But in INdia one can happily confirm that there was corruption & I am responsible but continue to go ahead & rule the Country for others also to do the same thing. NOW ANYONE IN INDIA CAN SAY "YES, THERE WAS CORRUPTION & I AM RESPONSIBLE". On what basis can any one indict any corrupt person, in India any more in future?

"We are living in a stupor called India.&quo

The Agony of living in this country, expressed by Shri Dilip Vishnu Mahdeo is not irrelevant to the prevailing social circumstances in India. The Political system needs to be overhauled with some changes to uproot corruption in Governance of the Country.
The Demand for Separate State of Telangana is in fact a fight against CORRUPTION.
