The fact that we constantly talk of 'India' is because we doubt its existence.It is the colonial rule that formed us .We had no identity of our own except that it was predominantly Hindu.But being riddled with casteism it was reformed by sikhism,jainism buddhism etc.We have 3 races the mongol,dravid and aryan.We have 30 languages and 200 dialects.We have royalty,burgeoises,labourers,white and blue collar workers and we have state centre and municipalities and panchayats.We have extremeist groups and centrists and backwards and tribals and OBCs. The fact of the matter is everyone here is from nowhere and is an opportunist leave alone the politicians and the officials and police.The Businessmen are the greatest opportunists who have arrived in cities to loot and use their sinister skills to cheat and maraud.So every one is bullying the other person for he knows that the other person just does not belong to his class ,creed,religion,language race and region or village and town.We have fabricated a concept called NATION to benefit few.Where are the wars where people die for their country.People who died on road and on on railways are 10000 times the number who died on battlefront.Only the Advertisements and cricket and media tell us that we belong to one country.and standing up for a national anthem after we have spent 3 hours in movie that has sold all the emotive stuff.Being an India is a cruel joke played on us.We are living in a stupor called India.

Excellent comment, very well put. I would also like to add that the freedom for India was not 'won' but was handed out to us by the brits after the WWII beating that they had and they couldn't or wouldnt control the country of the size of India. Its a fallacy that we won the freedom. If the WWII didnt happen we would still be under occupation.

Of Course freedom was WON IN ORDER FOR THE POLITICIANS AND THE BUREAUCRATS TO FILL THEIR COFFERS WITH ILL-GOTTEN MONEY. THE SIXTY THREE ODD YEARS OF CONGRESS RULE (barring six of BJP)has conclusively proved this theory.
Corruption stems from some basic weaknesses in the human beings. The only way to eliminate corruption is to identify the genes in human genome that cause greed and the overpowering urge for one-man-upship. Then and only then some corrective action can be taken. But then with corruption you may also end up doing away with qualities like drive and spirit of adventure that lead to innovation, growth and entrepreneurship. The basic human psyche is such that you want other people to be saints but don't wish to apply the same yardsticks to yourself. That is not to say that corruption is pardonable. But understanding enemy is half the battle won.
Sociologists and philosophers have addressed this issue over centuries. It's nothing new. Absolute power, some of them feel, corrupts absolutely. To minimize corruption you need to evolve appropriate systems that will minimize corruption. Liberalization was meant to do just that. There is enough in the law of the land to punish the guilty. How will more stringent legislation help unless there are strong and efficient law enforcement agencies and judiciaries. The need for proper education and upbringing cannot be overemphasized.

that is Blue Revolution that is not hijacked, not the RED failed one.
Because 1) indian parlimentry system is a flop model 2) due to parlimentry system country has been fragmented in to small pieces (on the basis of caste & religion) 3) average indian person doesnt observe discipline & laws at all. it is bent as per the convenience of the persons( everybody must be witnessing this on day to day basis ) 4) extremely wrong directioned thinking 5) poor quality media which has been forming the openion of the public & drawing the attention towards breaking matters 6) missing value systems
the country is marching towards extremely dengerous direction.
Even though our media is patting our a-s-s, & giving headlines with regadrs to india becoming superpower. West & the US is not scared of india at all. Because they are aware that indian parlimentry system will never allow this country to become superpower.

flop parlimentry system means , to win the elections you need to PROVOKE certain class of the society which could be very small in number. We can see policical leaders giving proteciton to illegal construction, tenders etc just to earn money & win election. There are tonnes of examples of this nature. just to win eleciton.
