As if all the men in kerala are rapists! Come on! Kerala is the only state in india where there is a healthy sex ratio! Why? Just because keralites are not killing babies because of their sex!
I find it strange that the author of the article is extremely negative in portraying some of positives of the achievements of the people from Kerala. So what if the labourer gets Rs. 500 per day...would the writer complain if his situation improved financially..its a real irony when there are many parts in India where education, health opportunities to women and even basic human rights are denied..Kerala has stood out. I agree that these come at a cost but under the current circumstances, I am sure we would like some the benefits that these people enjoy rather than being very cynical about it.

Bhadrakumar will remain very silent, ever so silent on several facts of comparison between Kerala and other states !
One of these 'little' statistics is that manual scavenging was eliminated in Kerala in the late 1950s with the advent of comprehensive land reforms while it still employs millions in the rest of India !!
