Didn't TN get the rewards from Cong-DMK rule

Congress was never in the TN Govt. They were supporting from outside. So whether DMK wins or not it matters little for congress.

Oh, so TN didn't benefit from the UPA rule in centre, where DMK is a major co-al member...in that case why did Mom and Son bother to tour TN?

So not ALL opposition p[arties are "afraid" of Rahul, only where Congis are in power without in a coalition. AIADMK doesn't have to fear, as Rahul cannot suingle handedly, or with help of Karuna and his dynasty defeat AIADMK.

The moment Rahul's news appear on any internet/web,there is huge response from certain parties in their write-up to somehow get his image down. But by doing so they forget that his popularity goes up amongst the masses.

ACHuvisation of CPM is Weakening its Class Base.
by outspoken on Apr 10, 2011 09:40 PM

CPM became a big party in Kerala under stalwarts like EMS and AKG who built up the party's base despite a party split in 1964.

Now the party is behaving like a bourgeosie party by pinning all its fortunes around a good for nothing, mofussil leader who is not even confident of winning an election in his hometown.

Achuvisation of CPM is an illness and destroying the party's fundamentals and har built class base. The rising personality cult in the party will make it a Kerala Congress type led by KM Mani, where his servants thrive.

Rahul Gandhi held a much publicised
by piri on Apr 10, 2011 09:36 PM  | Hide replies

campaign meeting today in Trivandrum. The meeting was supposed to have begun at 11 in the morning. The Congress state leadership (Oommen chandy and various other leaders besides the UDF's local candidates) and the Trivandrum M.P, Mr.Shashi Tharoor, were present at the site well in advance of the scheduled time to oversee arrangements and to ensure that the embarassments of sparse attendance in previous meetings of the Congress central leadership was not repeated this time. However, despite repeated announcements and frantic calls over speakers by Tharoor and co. to the wayfarers around the stadium to come in and sit down, most of the chairs remained empty even at 1130 am ! Finally, following personal pleadings by Congress party workers with the people in the streets outside, some of them agreed to sit through whatever Rahul Gandhi had to say !

The face of Oommen chandy bore a forlorn expression right through Gandhi's 'speech' !

Indications are becoming stronger and stronger with each passing day that a VS wave has built momentum and that it may have or will shortly cross the threshold point vis-a-vis the LDF's prospects in the elections !!

Gunman, peon, washerman etc of Achutananadan are his fans thanks to low IQ. To say literate Keralites are under a wave of Achu is a propganda tool to cover up the absence of a Report Card of 5 yrs wherein a CM has nothing to give back to the party that foisted him nor the people who gave him a mandate. Looks like an impotent's tall talk of virility.

Achchu Mama's Tantrums -2
by vijayan balakrishnan on Apr 10, 2011 09:27 PM  | Hide replies

Shri Achuthanadan should first put his house in order before projecting himself as the self-styled champion of the causes of women, poor, exploited and the deprived. He reminds the PM not to talk like IMF officer or like a Yankee. In a similar vein, Shri Achuthanadan too has a moral obligation not to air his private views in public as scriptural truth and maintain the decorum of a responsible CM of a state.

The PM has to be reminded of his constitutional duties every day, it seems.

The people who elected (Hmm, elected???) him needs to send him SMS every morning not to slip into dementia, to save our parents' hartd earned money from ending up in his UPA buddies' pockets.

Achchu Mama's Tantrums
by vijayan balakrishnan on Apr 10, 2011 09:26 PM  | Hide replies

The CPM Chief Ministers are notorious for indulging in character assassination and perform the slapstick comedy with perfection to shroud their weakness to rule the state and deliver results. The youths of Kerala have been suffering due to the ante-diluvian programmes and communist goondaism. But, the harsh reality is that Kerala has been way behind other Indian states in many respects. Whatever progress Kerala could achieve was due to high literacy primarily thanks to the efforts of some progressive groups which have of late been commercialised during the LDF rule in the past five years and remittance from both Non-Residents-Keralites and Non-Resident-Indians. The power sector, agriculture, roads, higher education, industry, medical care, etc, the state has been faring very badly pushing the Kerala youth to mere desperation. The CPM may be able to fool the youth for some more time, but, thanks to internet and electronic media, there is growing awareness among the youth. Unless the CPM fine-tunes itself to the harsh realities of the modern times, the party will be losing its mass appeal. It cannot survive long merely cashing in on the goodwill its previous selfless leaders like AKG etc generated for the party. The present CPM is lorded over by a handful of feudal lords where even the CM has no locus standi. Shri Achuthanadan should first put his house in order before projecting himself as the self-styled champion of the causes of women, poor, exploited and the deprived.

character assassination???
are you talking about the probes against icecream leaders and Irrigation scamsters?

Should we feign dementia instead?

Yea, it will be good for the CM to clarify about the allegations and character assassinations that UDF "leade"ers have been hurling at his son. The people have a right to know if Arunkumar did misuse his father's name

by Purine on Apr 10, 2011 09:12 PM  | Hide replies

VS is fearless, and a real people's leader. He doesn't need to sleep with only Dalits to show his pro-people, pro-poor stance.

and Rahul would've seen that India still needs aged leaders too, fdrom the way, Anna Hazare, a modest man with NO ILLUSTRIOUS FAMILY NAME to boast of, attracted respect and solidarity from Indians from all walks of life. You cannot write off age and wisdom. Where was Rahul and his "youthful" Mommy when the people were looted by his bosom buddies in UPA? Let rahul's "youth" brigade take lessons from the CM of Kerala, and Anna Hazare, rather than from Karunanidhi, Kalmadi, Quattrocchi and Mohammad Azharuddin.
