Development not at the cost of corruption
by dhananjayan ramaswamy on Apr 10, 2011 04:25 PM  | Hide replies

i just went through a comment that DMK has done good job in developing the state, nope they were just swindling money in the name of initiaiting projects from the authorities. i am not here to accept new developmental projects at a cost of corruption.
secondly do we have an alternate other than jayalalitha the answer is no, our immediate resolution is send karunanidhi and his big family to jail.Lets elect ADMK i hope with lokpal bill being amended she will also be ware of good governance.

Her first term as CM was a disaster; everyone will agree. But, her second term was extremely good. She took some tough decisions; if not for her, there would be no rain water harvesting, and there would have been more chaos. Though such decisions were unpopular, they were long-term and beneficial. Unfortunately, she rolled them back before the elections to avoid a backlash, but MK's family swooped in with a "free TV" scheme, and it has been family ruling since then. She does have the brains, and thankfully the sasikala family is not around her any more.

Rain water harvesting is the need of the hour as during her tenure there was no rain...if u see it as development then we cant compete with fast growing states even in India...

Her achievements in the first term was 0. In her second term, she did a) introduce rainwater harvesting, b) stop forcible religious conversion c) ban animal sacrifices, d) maybe more that I don't remember.

It also depends on what you call 'development'. "Free TV" to all is not a development. I guess you do understand how it works - the party promises free TVs, forms government, gives away TVs from the taxes collected for developmental purposes. That was money meant for building good roads and improving connectivity, not to be given away as freebies.

again am saying a) Rain water harvesting was the need of the hour as during her tenure there was no rain nor water avl in chennai 2) forcible conversion - when in our state there is no case of forcible conversion wat made her to put this rule...do u think its a development ..grow up dear... 3) animal sacrifice...to note she is the leader in superstition..she made lot of sacrifice & even changed her name seeing namelogy...4) u cant remember as its still zero

Can you explain me how your a,b,c are developments. For rain water we people paid for it with out seeing any real benefit. The other two are stupid decisions. How you classify them as achievements.

Has he(corrupt) right to live in this world, EC or Central Govt. will not do anything for criminals/corrupts/anti nationals, as they are party to them. Country requires governance of 21st century but these politicians want governance of British era.

When people are happy living in pverty and getting cheap rice, then no one else has to be blamed.. Eve Bihar is coming up from bottom but TN is going down and down n down.. TN people think that ministers are doing great favor by distributing some free articles, They never realise that same ministers are amassing trhousands of crores of public mone. Same money can be utilised for jobs n welfare scheme creation. If people have jobs and decent salary at month end ,then they will never have to fall to rice n tv gimmicks

Well said redfid.

If Jaya comes to power she will stop all these since her vote bank is poorest of the poor and she want to keep them in that way. And that is the reason all these educated outsiders campaigning for her.

But our people are very intelligent. They know who is good and who is bad for the TN. Watch out for a complete sweep by DMK in this election.

SAVE EELAM TAMILS
by Ilango S on Apr 10, 2011 11:07 AM  | Hide replies

Almost 3 years after war..........,
Still, more than a lakh of Eelam Tamils are behind the barbed wires.
For them till now no political solution.
Most of their houses were destroyed by Srilankan & Indian war planes, and they have no shelter.
There is no sign of rehabitation. They get meals only once in a day.
Abduction of tamil youths continues by white van by Sinhala chavunism.
India also invlolved in torturing Eelam Tamils by suspecting all Eelam tamils are of LTTE, since India in guilty of war crimes.
Tamil Nadu politicians are selfish and they enjoy their political power because of votes of more than 6 crore tamil population and they loot Tamil Nadu and Indian Economy. Also they are not bothered of their brotherhood of eelam tamils.
Mr M Karunanidhi & his family have recieved huge crores of money from both Congress and Rajapakshe govt to suppress the outburst of Tamil people on the Eelam Tamil issue.
Congress and DMK had spent a very huge amount of money for bribing the election commission and votes of Tamil people. Where the money came from.
Congress Govt not allowing other political parties to visit war torn areas. India is silent on the welfare of Eelam Tamils and it is not allowing UN or other country to involve in settling the political issue and rehabilation process.
Not allowing the migrated tamils to help their blood relations.
Oh God! Save Eelam Tamils and destroy inhuman world.
