classification of castes was done in terms of work people used to do during aryan times. over period of time brahmins in lust for control of mney and power started discriminating. they created absurd stories which are tarnishing the image of religion now. no wonder why people find us amusing
What ever be it.... all i want to say is to protect ur own religion stop these fake dramas, fake godmen and fake stories... be true to the religion... or follow communism like me

Yes, communists do not believeIn anyReligiousDogmas. TheReligionists are in fact against theCommunists. That was one reason for the breakup of USSR with the active support of VaticanAndYankees. IndianCommunists support someReligionsGroups for narrow electoralGains. I was also a Communist but I am apolitical now.

mamu, we do not have the equivalent of MissionaryBeggars and SwordHoldingMullahs to convrt others.
Despite nearly 900 years of rule by the IslamicInvaders and EuropeanChristianColonizers, nearly 85% of Indians are still following the nativeReligions.
That itself is proof of the inherent strength of our culture and civilization.

Any day, a multi-faith, multi-cultural liberal society is superior to any exclusivist religion which claims to have the only "TRUE" God and know the absolute Truth.

where do we stand on this... conversion is not a smal decision that can be made easily. that splits families but still people are converting in large numbers. we can affliate this and protect our hypocrisy by saying rice bags but we know the facts and at the rate which influential and common men are shedding away from the stories they find amusing. either they are thinking right or we are thinking wrong
Re: Re: @loyalroyal

I have not seen the kind of convrsion you are talking about; there may be a few convrsions here or there for some personal reasons like marriages, etc.
And what exactly is the motive of those who make a career out of convrsion business? Are they out to do charity or do they have some ulterior motives?
Re: Re: Re: @loyalroyal

conversion is see is a personal choice of truth. if you dont find truth in the religion that u folow, u just quit. ours has lots of stories. we must stop that

i know but once again... shedding something is not a small thing dear... it needs lots of courage. when peopel are doing it then just see how bad our belief is. the problem is not with religion but the stories our ancestors cook up and we cook up in name of religion
Re: @loyalroyal
by loyalroyal on Apr 05, 2011 11:17 AM
Brahmins are the key problems. they created these stories for lust of power and took help of kshatriyas to keep generating money for them. even today if you meet any prist, all that he will have in mind will be money. there are very rare good brahmins left

WHEN SOME PERSON IS GOOD IN CHARACTER, TRYING TO DO SOME GOOD TO PEOPLE (GENERAL PUBLIC) NATURALLY ANYBODY CAN HELP AND MAKE THE PERSON KNOWN TO ALL GIVING TO HIS OPINION PRIORITY. FOR THAT NO NEED OF BRAHMIN OR OTHER COMMUNITY IS NECESSARY. JUST THINK LOYAL UNNECESSARILY DO NOT BLAME BRAHMINS OR ANYOTHER CASTE PEOPLE. THAT WILL CREAE SOME OTHER PROBLEM.

Re: Re: @loyalroyal

Communism is an Orwellian nightmare characterized by a policy of control by propaganda, surveillance, misinformation, denial of truth and manipulation of the past! Free thought and ideas are stifled while the arts, sciences, culture are all subject to censure. Sadly, Communism & Free thought are anathema to each other! George Orwell stated that rhetoric was a smokescreen intended to conceal the truth on the ground. He wrote that "political language is designed to make lies sound truthful and murder respectable, and to give an appearance of solidity to pure wind." While 1984 may have modelled on the Soviet Union, it was also about the importance of truth and liberty and the barbarous influence of any regime that treats them as malleable and manipulable. China is one such country today.

BTW, Is1am also has many of the Orwellian characteristics that I have mentioned above. That is precisely there is slavish deference to some so called divine B00k written centuries ago with no relevance to life, science or technology as they exist today. Here A11ah is Big Brother!

Natives were already divided and always lived in small kingdoms.. kings like the great ashoka, akbar, marathas tried to bring all of them under one flag... finally officially it was britishers which defined permanent boundaries
Re: Re: @ loyalroyal
by Santosh on Apr 05, 2011 11:12 AM
They could not have "defined permanent boundaries" if there was no underlying unity among the natives. AdiShankara had established his FourMaths at four parts of India.
Btw they played the dirtiest trick when they were leaving. CyrilRadcliff drew the boundaries sitting in Delhi fogetting the ground realities. It was theCrookedChristianColonizers who drew a permanent wedge between the HindusAndMuslims inIndia. They had co-existed together for nearly 600 years before the arrival of theEuropeanColonizers (though there were a few skirmishes in between).

conversion is not the other way around. if it was intresting it wud have been two way conversions. Look at the rate of conversions and look at the rate at which poeple are loosing faith. Many are taking up atheism and others are simply changing
Re: Re: Re: Re: @ loyalroyal

we are not talking about atheism here butCONverting from one religion to another in search of the elusive TRUTH!!!!!
My ancestors did not convrt at the point ofSword or at the pain of rp nor did they sell their soulsFor a fewKgs ofRice and cheapAmrikanMilkPowder. I am proud of my ancestors and their culture & civilization. The Indian sub-continent had a civilized life when most of the other continents were still in StoneAge.
Re: @ loyalroyal
by loyalroyal on Apr 05, 2011 11:01 AM
Good to hear... but i dont think its right to still live in stone age. The issue is about fake godmen. conversion splits families but still people convert. Its not just for fun or money but because they find their religion false. It has been because of insane stories and fake godmen. i am not a convert so it doesnt matter to me. Neighther i support my own religion. its a personal choice.
