1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre
by hawkeye on Sep 21, 2010 10:29 AM

More than 3000 Chinese students non-violently protesting for democracy and freedom in the Tiananmen Square were violently machine-gunned down by Chinese soldiers deployed by the Chinese government to prevent them from gaining momentum and support.

Hail to our Chinese student brothers who were martyred for their dream of a democratic free China.

India must now take up their cause. Its her destiny.

Naxalites are pursuing foolish dream....
by hawkeye on Sep 21, 2010 10:24 AM

The U.S.S.R and communist eastern Europe collapsed as their economies collapsed , showing impotence of communism. When China itself has abandoned communism and embraced capitalism to become a first rate economic power, the naxalites blindly ignore this and keep fighting for a communist dictatorship of India which will follow the lines of U.S.S.R and eastern Europe and North Korea.

We must open the eyes of the naxalites to all these.

Naxalites should use their brains to contest elections without violence and work proactively for the development of the tribals.

Violence is only counter-productive, both to theirs and the cause of the tribals.

Many health centres, schools ,roads and infrastructure needed for economic growth has been destroyed by Maoists.

Non-violence is the essence of humanism.

Violence is not the key. If u have any doubts, ask the thousands of Chinese students killed by their government, their only fault being seeking democracy and freedom.

Separate ministry for upliftment of the tribals needed....
by hawkeye on Sep 21, 2010 10:22 AM

A separate ministry for the upliftment of the tribals should be created.

Good tribal administration and holistic managment of forest resources should be created by such a ministry, so that we can ensure that the tribals are not at all exploited by anyone, but are empowered, and at the same time , a healthy tribal life , economy and culture is created with inputs of modern science and technology in a harmonious manner.

A good tribal economy , can in itself be a forcemultiplier for the Indian economy itself.

People should be educated about evils of communism....
by hawkeye on Sep 21, 2010 10:21 AM

A necessary ingredient in the battle against communism is the need to educate people on the evils of communism, namely the massacre of millions of people ( communists included ) by Stalin and the Soviet communists till the destruction of the U.S.S.R., which was easily facilitated by communist dictatorship, the
Soviet secret police , lack of democracy, mob violence, and complete censure of free speech and writing and press.

The dignity of human life counts for nil or zero in a communist society, where dictatorship dictates everything.
Stalin himself killed more than 3 million Russians ( about 6% of Russian population ) at that time, in concentration camps.

Mao killed more than 12 million fellow
Chinese during the Cultural Revolution.

More than 3000 young Chinese students, non-violently protesting for democracy and abolition of dictatorship , was machine gunned down by Chinese soldiers in the famous Tiananmen Square protests of 1989, which shook the conscience of the world.

All these should be brought to the people, and they should be educated on the perils of a communist society which creates true state terror, and at same time impoverishes people with impotent communist economics, resulting in crushing poverty and starvation deaths, North Korea being a shining example at the present moment.

Corruption and exploitation not immune to china or communism....
by hawkeye on Sep 21, 2010 10:20 AM

Corruption is not immune to China as well, where most public administrators including the party officials are known for their lavish lifestyle.

So much for the Maoists ideal state, which has also embraced capitalism, and is communist in name only.

Same goes too for Indian communist leaders , majority of whose children were found attending private schools instead of public shools.

Lifestyle of many communist leaders in India itself is envied by those in capitalist countries.

Romanian communist ruler Nicolae Ceauşescu was noted for his great extravagant living, taking advantage of party dictatorship, to live a lavish lifestyle, while millions of his countrymen were starving due to a weak economy atrophied by communist economics.

So much for communist vision of prosperity, which actually translates into prosperity of the communist dictatorship, which is immune to all censure, as freedom of speech and democracy is banned.

No wonder Chinese communist government hates freedom of speech and democracy and killed 3000 students protesting for them in the 1989 Tiananmen Square Massacre.

Corruption and incompetence must go....
by hawkeye on Sep 21, 2010 10:20 AM

The Naxalite problem is created as a consequence of corruption and administrative/managerial incompetence of the state governments and central government.

If just 50% of the funds allocated for upliftment of the tribals and villagers were used properly by trained and competent leaders, none of the tribals or villagers would have allied with the naxalites or maoists, and none would have become maoists.

Eradication of corruption at the grassroot levels in administration is a major key in destroying maoism indirectly.

This should complement the building up of a good managerial culture that promotes profesionalism and competence in public and rural administration .

These points cannot be ignored, if Maoism is to be eradicated on a long-term basis.

And for this, focus on value-systems and principles is important for rejuvenating the character of society , which is now brainwashed by consumerism and materialism .

It is a day to day affair of killing innocent people, but media find politics in it. one thing is clear in the name of maoist, it is a nexus of politicians and some rowdy fellows. stop it at any cost. Bring army, it will take not more than two hours to sweep away those so called leaders. Get who are really backing them and expose them at any cost.

With elections around the corner, the Maoists are are not just rooting for Mamata, but are her henchmen- which means no CPI-wallah is safe.
But will the federal govt really take any real actions, rather the pretend actions to date.
Nyet. No! Never! Because Kaangress cares only about acquiring, wielding and retaining power at any costs.

by RightSaid Fred on Sep 13, 2010 04:51 PM

What do you achieve by bandhs? Bandhs should be banned!

With so many bandhs, is there a need to declare them? Just declare when there is no bandh!
