India has already made huge mistakes by treating these people with kid gloves. If they had been dealt with with an iron gloves (as the situation demands) then we wouldnt have the situation we ahve now.Anyway,it's never too late....give the Army sweeping powers to crush the insurgents by any possible means.Give them indemnity from any sort of tribunals and investigations, especially from the secu-licker brigade and the secu-licker media like NDTV and CNN-IBN.Let the common people(who incidentally just want to get on with their lives)make the choice...do they want to bite bullets fighting for an illusion or do they want to be partners in the growth of the next superpower....INDIA

Sad to read your story
by Omar Akhtar on Sep 11, 2010 04:45 PM  | Hide replies

If this is 'educated' India debating in this forum, then it is very sad. The world's largest democracy, and its youth, talking like this on this public forum, openly inciting one another against Muslims - is sad. Made worse by knowing that such incitement has only led India into a similar spiral of violence that Pakistan is witnessing now - you make each side desparate, and desparate measures follow. As far as this 'incitement' of this mob is concerned - it is a piece of propaganda set out by the J&K Government that plays on the intelligence of anyone who has ever visited Srinagar. The Office in mention, is heavily gaurded all the time by CRPF. There is the High Court across the road, the Legislative Assembly a 100 metres away, and the Secretariat a few metres further down the road, all guarded. The protests were being held across the Amira Kadal bridge, around 1000 metres away. The people had come marching from all sides, but no route passed by the burning building at all. It is on the opposite side of the road. I passed by the building myself, at 12.45 pm, on route to a relative's place, and people, travelling in buses, were shouting, 'Go India GO Back,' at CRPF men who were standing next to the wall of this building, on the main road. I saw that the CRPF were not engaging the protestors, as they were going to AmiraKadal, AWAY from the building. There was no sign of ANY mob near that place, NO ONE was attacking the building. A few minutes later, the buil

Omar Akhtar....you can continue to delude yourself,or get real. It's high time you got realistic.Kashmiris need to get over their powertrip and deal with the fact that Azaadi is a utopian concept for them. They should give up this azaadi and kashmiriyat dreams and get on with their lives. They have the choice to join the burgeoning, growing and shining future economic behemoth that is India with the opportunities for a better life that it will provide,or to join the failed, theocratic, despotic and religious extremist nation that is Pakistan and be treated like second class citizens(like the people who chose Pakistan over India and migrated durign partition). The fact of the matter is,Kashmir holds the key to the whole Indian subcontinents water resources, which is precisely the reason neither India nor Pakistan will allow them freedom. The reason India will never let you guys free is not any sentimental attachment to Kashmir, not any love for its natural beauty and no for the income tourism will generate there. It's strategically important and holds the key to water security-period.So no Indian Govt nor Pakistani Govt can afford to let you guys have freedom. So quit sleeping with Pakistan in the hope that religious brotherhood will give you freedom. The sooner you get this into your heads, the better for your future

God save us from this secular Gandhi family!!
by Against Psuedos on Sep 11, 2010 04:42 PM

The only hope we have of relief from the Gandhi family is if Rahul and Priyanka Gandhi's children fight for power among themselves, split the Congress into 2-3 factions, all equally 'secu-licker'....and then take the fight to the streets and the voters, thereby confusing the sheep among Hindu's who continue to vote for this anti national party. The Muslims will also get confused as to who is more 'secu-licker' than the other, thereby diminishing the 'secu-licker' vote bank. The 'secu-licker' allies will also get confused in this grand mela of secularism. The end result will be chaos among the secu-licker forces which will strengthen the truly secular and communal forces which should be ruling the country.

This is a religious war
by sameer pandita on Sep 11, 2010 04:41 PM

This is a religious war basically fired by pro pakistani kashmiri sunnis .

History says it all . Hanske liya hai pakistan ladke lenge sar zameene Hindustan .

Its a religious war against all other religions which is being misinterpreted and reported by Indian Media as war of Independence of kashmir .

Kashmir doent belong to sunnis alone and they have no right to decide the fate of valley .

Divide J&kashmir into Jammu ,LEH (as UT centrally administered )and Valley . Then offer valley autonomy . Let Army stay on the borders .

Where is the problem . Skin them alive if they still protest and muster any courage to spread Anti India Sentiments .

Dont offer their youth jobs in any Indian companies . Let them earn theire own money .
Dnt divert any hard earned taxpayers maoney to the valley .

Where is the problem . They deserve this

INTERNATIONAL ISSUE
by mujahidali khan on Sep 11, 2010 04:40 PM

Kashmir is certainly a international issue and it has to be solved instantly because the whole of india cannot waste time by just watching and discussing just sought out once for all by giving them powers like separate president prime minister and let defence india handle .This is result oreinted and rest of india can concentrate on nation building .

Rahul Gandhi(Gandhi???) will not visit Kashmir because he is the grat Icon of his party and will not risk his reputation so some second level leader will be slected as a scape goat and will be send to Kashmir if the Congress goverment decides to send somebody.

J/K separatists
by Lalmun Darlong on Sep 11, 2010 04:28 PM  | Hide replies

This was only to be expected and the spineless and ham-handed UPA is responsible for this. The invertebrates in the UPA should immediately make Ladakh and Jammu union territories and hold a three-point plebiscite in Srinagar valley. The three points should be these : 1) We want to stay with India as constituent state , 2) we want to secede and join Talibanised Pakistan and 3) we want independence. That should be done after a massive and comprehensive flush-out operations for driving out the Pak and other foreign Jihadi criminals and the result will be positive for India .The anti-Hindu and anti-india elements will fight among themselves to the finish and our cause will be bolstered. i do not think there is any other alternative. But does any body listen or care ?
