It seems the CSC is a route to circumvent the decisions of Indian Parliament. Only four countries -(US, Argentina, Morocco and Romania) have ratified the CSC. None will sign again. The protest from the people from other countries are very strong. So India will have to import the equipments from US alone. There won't be any competition for the contract. That give chance for corruption. CSC will establish a uniform global legal regime for compensation to victims in the unlikely event of a nuclear accident. The Indian Parliament will be a sign post!! A real damaging approach by India. CSC help to maintain an international fund for compensation. How can they decide the size of fund required for a NUCLEAR DISASTER? It cannot be fathomed by anyone in advance. There cannot have a time limit for claims as the radiation would exist several decades if not centuries or millenniums.
