Minister of Parliamentary affairs knows but this reported doesnt.
MPs are not addressed as Member of Parliament-
Parliament constitutes of 3 wings which not many know and many think it constitutes only 2 wings.
1. Lok Sabha 2. Rajya Sabha 3. President
All three put together constitute Parliament-not just Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha.
Members are always addressed in formal commnication as Member of Lok Sabha or Member of Rajya Sabha. The Word MP is colloquial not formal. The formal word is Member of Lok Sabha or Member of Rajya Sabha.
Besides, you dont request to be kindly present-either you request one to be present or use the expression -kindly be present- usage of request to be kindly - is a double positive and bad English which is not used in official correspondence.
More over, it is not President of United States of America- it is President of THE United States of America.
When you refer to US & UK you always address as The United States or The United Kingdom. Loksabha and Rajyasabha secretariats are well versed with these usages.

do you work there? how do you know.. maybe they forgot how to write? Or maybe the americans made the invitation for them after seeing the last minute issues with the CWG? Why are you insisting on "Queen's English" for our Netas? Now we only follow Italian English.

You are bang on, Justnother Individual.
I am now retired.
I worked in Indira Gandhis secretariat when her office was not known as PMO as it is now.
It was a small secretariat unlike the present one; and she was a wonderful person to interact with. She knew all of us intimately and always addressed us by the first name affectionately (though you may think what matters is the subordinate addressing the superior by first name).
Having continued in the PMs secretariat even after her, I can confidently say, she was the last gentleman (forgive me for the inappropriate sounding) to have occupied the PMs office.
No one till date was as gracious and more sagacious and more strong in convictions and courageous than she was.
Her loss is Indias loss and the Indians never know what they had lost; only had she lived for a few more years and in office Indians would not have had this terrorist problem. Alas!
I distinctly remember her secular credentials when she didnt distinguish the religion of her security guards.

Thank you, Mr. Kabeer, for your info about Ms. Indira Gandhi. Yes, I agree with you that if she had been alive, we wouldn't have any terrorist problem today. Too bad, we don't have strong leaders like Ms. Gandhi.

Nice to know that Kabeer. Yes, she was a strong willed woman, made lots of errors in hindsight, but was a figurehead. Great to know from you that she was a nice human being at heart and used to treat her co-workers well. Good Luck Sir, hope India will again find a worthy leader to take on the world!
Will the Union Minister of Chemicals and Fertilizers, and the Commander of the rowdy forces of Madurai and eldest son of the great King of Tamilnadu, Chakaravarthy Krunanidhi be able to spare the time to attend this meeting?? Will he able to spare the time between flying between Chennai and Madurai to attend this boring speech by some time pass president from somewhere on the other side of the world, considering he never has time to even come to Parliament; so pressing are his duties to the city of Madurai and the goons who look up to him for direction and leadership. Alagiri also has business interests in Malaysia, Indonesia etc and will be in great hardship to put that behind and attend this meeting where he cannot understand a word of what Obama may say, as Alagiri is too patriotic to even consider translating other languages into Tamil which is the only language he knows. Similarly other Members of Parliament are also so busy in their own business enterprises like Sharad pawar who cant keep track of all the IPL teams he owns along with trading and investment in food grains and sugar. The Kongis wrongly assume that all their allies are also as jobless as they are to hang around Parliament waiting for the next juicy scam to be unveiled.
See a ghora has finally reached our parliament and will be addressing our netha. Giving talks standing in our parliament is like involving him in the countries ruling practises and procedures.
I would suggest that every Indian with self respect should condemn this and question our govt. ghora slavery.
Is Mr P K bansal joking? How many of our MPs out of 542 in Lower House can understand the Speech delivered by Obama, that too in English with American Accent? Instead of sitting and yawning in the House, it is better if they don't attend the parliament on that day and save the country of a big embarrassment. Mr Sleeping Python from Karnataka ( his nick name is H D Devegowda) will be sitting in the front row and fall asleep, moment Obama start delivering his speech. If somebody ask him why he is sleeping, Mr Gowda will give an explanation : " No No. I was not sleeping. I was deeply thinking about farmers who are suffering under B S Yadiyoorappa's mis-rule". Mr pawan Kumar Bansal should alloe only those MPs who understands English to be present on that day AND stipule strict Dress Code for MPs.Otherwise they look funny in their tyrical white Khurta Pyjama with a mountain-like big tummy.Country's image will take a severe beating.
