The realization has come too late. They have missed the bus and no way can be a force to reckon with except in their strongholds of Kerala, WB and Tripura.
Their alternative theories are outmoded and it is no wonder they have not got a foothold anywhere outside these three states. Their strong arm tactics and the influence which the party wields in all aspects of life, stifling opposition and dissenting voices make people wary.
Instead of following Stalin, they ought to have followed Lenin, who was pragmatic and realised that a purely Marxist way of governing was not possible.

I agree 100% Mr Karat But it is too Late to Correct Your Mistakes of following same old 1940 Communist ideology. Learn something from China communist.
Btw, when i read this article, I remember a story we thought somewhere in 4th standard about Rip Van Winckle who slept for 40 years and came to modern world.. I found who is that Rip Van Winckle now in our mother country :)
They are not stuck in in 1940. THEY WENT BACKWARDS and are not in 1940s. In few years time they should hit 1920s. Days are gone when Jagdish Chandra Bose, Subhas Chandra Bose were leading the nation.Commies hatred for industrialisation is mindblowing. Their masters the chinese are the biggest capitalist commies ever known. Yet these Bengalis are trying to show the world that THEY are true commiunists!

I agree with you. The Indian Left does not seem to understand that state ownership of business and manufacture is no longer viable.
