hearty welcome to Aditya Thackeray. Shivaji Maharaj was in his teens when he fought battles, wasn't he!! Great move that augurs well for the Shiva Sena.

yes, that's right! more violence, so hago i presume your part of india has 24 electricity and water? no stray dogs on the streets? free health care? no doubt the shiv sena that most democratic and humane organisation renown for its assistance to ordinary achuts and 'lower castes' (i don't think there's any country after post apartheid south africa which refers to its own people as 'lower caste') will create a great india.

HOW GOOD IS THACKERAY DYNASTY?
by JOHN BHATIA on Oct 19, 2010 10:26 PM  | Hide replies

Nehry and Gandhi dynastis have sacrificed their lives and wealth for the independence of India and to nourish and uplift and keep it united but Thackeray dynasty has so far done nothing good for the Nation or Marathis but has placed many road blocks in the way of national unity, progress, secularism, brotherhood and harmony among all Indians. Many innocents have lost their lives, shelters, earning and humanity too.

Is it necessary in Democracy??
by Henry Joseph on Oct 19, 2010 07:07 PM  | Hide replies

His wrists are so thin that he can not hold the sword properly, how he could fight with it. By the way is it necessary in Indian politics to hold "Sword, Hockey stick, GADA, or Trishul"??? they have to serve the people and maintain peace and harmony in the society after becoming leaders but by this way!! no way we Indians never become vigilant.

LEGAL TALIBAAN IN INDIA.
by Priya Advani on Oct 19, 2010 06:57 PM  | Hide replies

It is a blot on Our Secular democratic Republic that such controvercial and communal party news also comes with a pride in the News papers and channels. Amazingly we tell Taliban are feudals or fundamentalists but what about our "Legal Taliban" like this.

Thanks Rediff - any more racists you would like to forward on us?
by John Singh on Oct 19, 2010 05:46 PM  | Hide replies

yes, in a population of over a billion rediff has to to emphaszie the racist, bigoted, no doubt sexist Shiv Sena. No, nooo, India cannot have an advanced society where people are treated humanely, no we don't want clean streets, no we don't want 24 hour electricty, we want a country were we send our sons and daughters to study abroad as we don't have the facilities, we want our children to be judged on the basis of caste. no doubt my responders will be thakurs, brahmins, and upper castes to prove my point, let the lower ones (including non hindus) rot. yes, ghalib, mir taqi mir, were hindus and supporters of the shiv sena. jagjit singh only sings in sanskrit. all muslims (or should i say muzlims - is that the latest racism term used against a people who also produced our presidents, again someone will educate me) are terrorists, i have no doubt this article will be the pretext to preach the evils of a particular community (it stats with 'm'). keep on stumbling india as thanks to the shiv sena that's all we'll ever do just stumble and limp.

Emergence of Aditya Thackeray
by Sudhakar Alur on Oct 19, 2010 02:19 PM  | Hide replies

Without Bal Thackeray, Bombay/Mumbai would have been different. They are positively responsible for so many good things of Mumbai. Irrespective of Shiv Sena's idiosyncracies, their contributions for retaining the Hindu's identity and towards growth of Mumbai/Maharashtra in many avenues are appreciable.I hope Aditya Thackery will mould himself according to the present day requirements and carve yuva sena of Shiva Sena as a constructive force and spread secular feelings throught Mumbai and Maharashtra. let us not discourage him.

Good luck to him.

WHY do we need DONS to protect ones culture:

Mr.SudhakarAlur, do you mean that every state that is formed on Language&Culture basis need to have a compulsory DON to Retain & Revive Reg1onal Identity?

From the CM of the state to IPS comm1ss1oner, mayors, governors, have to wait for approval from GOONS for adm1n1stration.

Dons, K1llers, Hatred sputters, R1ot Makers, Moral Pol1ce.........

Do we really need them to Retain & Thrive our culture!!

THINK AGAIN!!!!!
