We should appoint Honorable Mr. Kalmadi to take care of Obama's visit to india.

1. He will have great plans like constructing 10 star hotels at 7 cities to make Obama stay comfortable. Budget for each hotel will be Rs. 10000.00 crores

2. Then he will hire 100 roles royace fantoms for Obamas cisits to various cities. These cars will be hired at the rate of Rs. 250000.00 per KM and service provider will be "Sai Rent A Car" from pune which is owned by Mr. Kalmadi

3. Then Kalmadi will appoint an european security agency for Obama's safety, which will cost Rs. 250000.00 per hour per security person. He will probably hire 1000 security persons

Kalmadi has got brighter chances of getting this responsibility as he has a successfull track record of succeding the internation events at any cost.

ACTUALLY WE HAVE A DIMOND LIKE KALMADI IN OUR COUNTRY. WE SHOULD BE PROUD OF HIM. WHEN KALMADI IS THERE, SUCCESS GURANTEES.

Who's success is the question.

Reminder to Indian Government.

Please don't forget Chattisingpura Incidence in 2000 before granting Mr.Obama for trip to India. Indian intelligence has repeatedly failed earlier. But their recent activity is praiseworthy. So keep it up with high priority... Secondly, plz don't think yourself as weaker party when u'll sign an agreement with USA. They may be strongest power in the world. Without Indian, they can't ply. If they go to choose alternate option, they'll lag minimum 5 to 10years. For them, it will be a worst concern. However, I m leaving all on our think tank to balance debit/credit. JAI HIND.

That incident was perpetrated by the Indian government to get sympathy from Clinton administration on his visit to India. Ask the Sikhs.

B. Raman knows nothing about this.

This is the first time a US president is visiting India in his frst term. If that doesent tell you how far Indo US ties at the higher level has come then I dont know what is. B. Raman must be sitting on his balcony smoking something he shouldnt be. Everybdy knows China holds most of US debt and thereby is most critical for the US. Do we need an article to discuss this again. B. Ramans strength is intelligence, he should stick to that and not try to write some nonsense about things everybody knows.

dear Indiman, i am sorry to see your blinkered vision of what a journalist's articles is ought to do. The purpose of an article is to articulate, stimulate and sometimes provocate. So, let us see what RAMAN has to say and draw our own conclusion. Also remember, whether or not the Indian common man smokes the stuff what Raman smokes,he cannot directly influence foreign policy, but certainly will bear the fruit or the burden of a right or a wrong approach respectively.

but what is this self whipping and crying about why India does not mean the same to the US as China does, going to do. What are we trying to ariculate and provocate through this article other than our own stupidity.

quite true indi man..
After retirement, most of our senior file pushers acquire the secret key to unlock India's great potential.
While they serve, the beads of wisdom and the criticism about everything never come out. Consequently, Deng Xiaoping does the reform while India stagnates.

The presence of a million peacefully protesting people on the streets of Kashmir gives a loud and clear message to the world powers including the United States that they will not accept anything short of Azadi freedom.Hope Mr Obama will listen this message and press India and pakistan to sortout kashmir issue as soon as possiable.

Wake up bro. Azadi in Kashmir is a pipedream. Pakistani army will never allow them one moment's peace. Nobody wants another Afghanistan in the world - certainly not in this region.

Kashmir is just a state of INDIA as others with some special facilities. people of kasmir (only 10%) talk about azadi and freedom...but what about others...its all politics and radical islamic people.....These people really dont know what freedom is...they hav never seen the people of POK...
Our government should come forward and build the trust in common kashmiri people that they are safe and free with INDIA...otherwise this problem will continue and politicians make a issue all the time for their vote bank...

There is nothing new in that
by Dan Lewis on Oct 15, 2010 08:35 PM

US economy and treasury bonds are in the hands of China. My firm believe is that US will do nothing to favor India over China. Current US policy is China and Chinese centric. So do not bet on your life to have great strategic partnerships with US. US is scared of China.
