It was the NASA built Rescue Capsule and a trained American worker who handled the whole excercise of pulling each of the miners out without a hitch.

It does not matter who did what the main thing is that the miners were pulled out alive unlike India who can't get a small kid fallen in a bore hole few hundred feet out.
This mine was about 600meters deep.
Will the president of India wait at the site from start to end of the whole operation and greet every miner.
I DOUBT VERY MUCH.

politicians character

it is great to see that all miners of chile have come out safe. their president was monitoring the whole exercise and was there whenever he gets time apart from other offician works. now see our politicians when the nation was facing flood disaster, they have no time except airal survey or making money from flood relief. in fact they are heartless. this is the diference of character.

Yes!! Very well said. In fact our Politicians or the so called Netas will be busy clinging to the seats with a fear that somebody else will occcupy that. Really heartless and blood suckers.

India can well learn their technology.....
by Globalcrusador on Oct 14, 2010 03:42 PM  | Hide replies

In India, we have seen the spectre of small children fall into borewell dug up holes and poor children fall into them repeatedly. The save rate is far from impressive right now except for one odd "Prince". Can we make an effort to understand the technology used by them for greater success in future ?.

Had we ever bothered for those lives (except for the sake of BREAKING NEWS), we would have closed those bores in first place. That does not involve any technology.

Chile miners' rescue
by Kiritkumar Bookseller on Oct 14, 2010 03:03 PM

Ihave been watching the operation on BBC for last week. The discipline and efforts ,both by public and Government has been commendable. President of Chile has been personally involved and visited the site to suprwise progress five times ,been among experts, people and personally received miners ,first after experts, then family of trapped miners and then himself maintaining correct order. At first,England Prime minister congratulated the chilian President and people.
Our President and Prime Minister are busy in peltry politics at home.
