Rediff..Mend your ways plzzz...for nation's sake
by Suresh Kumar on Oct 01, 2010 07:53 PM

The rot is so deep tht even best education does not cleanse some minds. This fellow and his clan just need to go to qutb minar n its ramparts in delhi for open evidence of muslim vandalism..there are thousand other sites which were formerly temples..

Btw, from yesterday there has been steady stream of 'great' and 'thought-provoking' articles on rediff..Why is rediff entertaining such ultra-crap articles or is this the design of calculated manipulation of minority minds..politician-style ?? Most muslims atleast my friends are disappointed but fine with verdict..afterall it was not a proper functional mosque..why generate bad blood ?

So why is British Raj not revered?
by KS S on Oct 01, 2010 07:30 PM  | Hide replies

To the author,

The Britishers ruled India for 100 years directly, and many more years indirectly. We consider them as colonialists and oppressors.

The same goes for Mughals. They may have ruled us for a longer period, but that does not make them Indians. They are still invaders, no matter how we try to polish and present the past.

The British rule was probably more beneficial to Indians than Mughal empire, but we never praise the British in our history books. Modern India's history texts are actually quite (and unjustifiably) kind to the Mughals.

Mughal rule is something that most Indians wish had not happened, but it did happen, and you can't undo the past. You can try to forget it and move on, but the bitterness remains and occasionally erupts (and no justification for that as well)

You yourself admit here that there is ruins of a Siva temple beneath the Babri masjid. Rama temple or Siva temple, the fact now is that the Babri structure stood atop what was once a temple. Which means the Babri structure and its proponents are squatters. Do they have the right to stay put or claim even one third of the land? Think for yourself.

Now that the facts are established, I wish that the Muslim community show grace by giving up claim on the land. That will be a true sign of greatness on the part of Muslim community. There is no use calling the ASI name, like true losers.

it is not correct to say that we did not gain anything at all from Moghuls . architecture and hindustani music are their contribution, no doubt !

Any human being has the right to express his views and opinions and he has reference from authentic sources. it was in the papers too. So why should anyone shut him up using abusive language and redicule him like this to win your argument like an ordinary illiterate person fights in a street.
Your views are totally against real Indian values and secularism. If you know Indian culture you all wouldn't stoop so low.
As for ASI, just try to find out if there is any real hard core evidence at all about the actual birthplace.
Further can judgement be pronounced on the basis of faith and beliefs? Legal judgements like these can set patterns that no one will like in the future. Such 'Bamiyan-Buddha-ike-acts' such as that which happened in Babri Masjid Demolition can be repeated.
The way you guys are commenting can hurt the unity of our great India.

You have to reply a brick with a brick bro.. agreed demolition of a structure was incorrect in a lawfull environment... but where was the law? if since 1949 no justice was done.. then what do you expect people to do? dont blame those who brought the babri structure down... blame the government & judiciary for lingering on the case... if this same jusgement had come before 92 the demolition would not have happened at all..

Liny Easow:

Why only a professor has the right to express his views?

Curious...
