Truth ignored
by Krishnakumar Narayanan on Nov 27, 2010 06:53 PM

Despite the hype around the high growth rate, not much is hunky-dory in the country as a whole. If we compare, major difference between Mumbai and Bihar is that state apathy and callousness towards public expectations are represented by better looking people. Hunters and victims in Mumbai are better dressed, they look well cultured. Growth rate does not necessary mean decent governance and better performance of the system.

Never lose hope
by Kishore Doodnath on Nov 27, 2010 02:15 PM

I hope Mr Thakur is right - the electorate has woken up to the fact that the power lies in its own hands and that the power should be exercised to reward leadership, integrity and delivery. I really hope that the destrutive era of voting for family dynasty and caste is well and truly over.

All power rests with the people. If people support developmental politics only then can any state progress. If we keep voting back people based on caste/religion or family considerations, we are condemmed to failure and poverty.

Rahul Gandhi is NOT the face of modern India. He is just the latest representative of India's failed political infatuation with dynasties and castes. What does this kid know about anything related to governance? Let us vote for development regardless of any other consideration. Get rid of these burdensome animals we call politicians.

It should be shame on the people who govern Bihar rather than a person analysing it. not everyone is supposed to do everything. Mr Thakur would have done something good in his own field. Be realistic.
