The question is - Does Siddharth know the meaning of his name?
by Mahesh on Nov 11, 2010 08:43 AM

Of course, he does not.

He is another insipid commie/leftiest who is does not know that is Pakistan which obsessed with India.

That after repeated terrorist attacks on Indian soil.

That India is surrounded by extremely hostile neighbours such as pak, china, bangaladesh.

We all know the newspapaer - The Hindu should actually be called "The ANTI-HINDU"....its dominated by commies.

Poor Siddharth is not wise enough to understand.

He needs to move the Headquarters of Hindu in Srinigar and move with his family there.

Then probably he will get a ounce of wisdom of Buddha.

Poor Siddharth makes his leaving by runing down his own countrymen...feel sorry for him.

He reflects Indian Media!
by Nishan K on Nov 11, 2010 07:59 AM

Mr Varadarajan represents what is and can be wrong with Media! His intutive knowledge (Example - He "knew" and not he "thinks", Obama didnt bring up Pak name in speech 'cuase of Swaraj) clearly reflects level of journalism he practises.
Utter nonsense they spew in the name of reporting is opinion travesty exemplied.

Junk
by Harin on Nov 11, 2010 04:17 AM

After reading through this, I must say this is a junk quality interview. SV usually does not know what he is talking about; in addition his flaming ignorance of history makes this piece a propaganda piece not for the historically aware.

Humayun was not an invader.
by Mahavir on Nov 11, 2010 03:01 AM

As per Siddharth Varadarajan, Humuayun was not an invader. I wonder how can a person comment about important foreigngpolicy issues when he does not have any sense of history or does not know who were the invaders and how the populariotn was enslaved for 500 years.
As per Siddharth V. even Britishers were not outsiders. MK Gandhi, Sardar Patel,Subhash Chandra Bose and all other national leaders unnecessarily fought with the Birtish.

Guys do not wate your time talking to this ignorant fool. Nobody should expect any insight from this fellow who doe snot know what he is talking about.

I agree with you 100% Mr. Varadarajan. Our politicians have ensured that we remain obsessed so that they get a free round in whatever money-eating they do in the name of governance. A part of the reason for opur obsession is also that we, the people of India know it very well that we have the capability to "solve this problem" very easily, yet we don't see any solutions coming up. Naturally we become concerned about it!

Kaka, Sayeed only meant that we should not be so obsessed with Pak that we start to label our own muslims as Pak agents. Some of them may differ in their views from us but so do many people with Hindu names. Compared to people like Arundhati Roy or the JNU lefties, most muslim indians are patriotic and nationalistic and are tired of Pak and its ways.

I am glad to see more muslim indians on this site.
