Odisha and Odia are well suited, great step
by Subhashish Panigrahi on Nov 10, 2010 11:27 AM

People still say it could be Utkala/Kalinga, even they carry the message of the Art loving Odias, but the name Odisha has been pronounced for a long time and simply changing the name will be difficult for common people. But at the same time Odisha and Odia are the words which are used in the Odia language, so changing it in English will be easier. Moreover they sound modern and carry forward the modern developments by keeping the traditional values intact.
