DOUBLE STANDARDS ???
by chatter on Nov 09, 2010 01:26 AM  | Hide replies

Barack Obama tells us to speak up for democracy in Burma. Fine. What is he doing about democracy in China ? Obviously we are too small a fry to bother China. But the USA can. China is the mother of all the authoritarian regimes worldwide. A fourth of the world population does not know what democracy is. It has been crushing Tibet for the past half century but no one makes a noise. Only some pointless gestures like granting a Nobel Prizw to the Dalai Lama. Yet China is the biggest trading partner of the USA. It uses slave labour in its manufacturing industries, using capital from US based business, and its biggest market is the USA. Rather than Indian IT professionals, it is Chinese industry, using all the tricks, mostly unfair, of geopolitical economics which has ruined industry in the USA and caused such massive unemployment there. Does Mr Obama or any other politician in thheir country want to do anything about it ?

If today USA were to ban all trade with China, the entire Chinese economy would collapse. Maybe it would hurt the USA too, but it could shift those manufacturing hubs now in China to its own country and generate employment for its own people. USA needed to engage China during the cold war. Why does it need China now ?

We were so taken up with what Mr Obama would say in regard to Pakistan, we forgot to ascertain his views on China. Or maybe it was all carefully orchestrated to ensure such questions were not asked.

I love India as I am born Here.

But I can not be proud of it because of its social history casteism extending to limits of of Untouchabiity... because of its masses associating with Gandhi Killers and Buddha Exterminators... bcause of superstitious nature of people

Shabari in Ramayana : what is wrong. Rama ate the fruits bitten by Shabari. That is great. Isn't it?

Ekalavya in Mahabharat : Today many countries are denied nuclear and missile technologies. Those that developed on their own are harassed. Smilarly, Ekalavya was not allowed to grow into a potential threat to the princes.

Today, do we allow our common people to develop arms and ammunition? Any Indian can develop arms and ammunition as part of the government military, not on his own.

Ultimately, the fight is between individual aspirations, whims and fancies and the nation's good.

I hate Gandhi, but he said an individual must sacrifice for his village, and the village must sacrifice for the country. The nation's good is more important than an individual's good.

About casteism, I posted several messages. Please click on View My Page.

You are so critical about Hinduism. I hope you are equally critical about your religion. Please tell us about your religion.

Obama's love for Pakistan
by ritesh on Nov 08, 2010 10:01 AM

Only a person of unstable mind can talk of stable Pakistan :) No, seriously, it is high time the Indian politicians evolve and develop some spine to not just voice their own opinions, but actually enforce their views onto others. With Sonia Biwi calling shots, and Man Mon Singh as her honcho, this is not going to happen very soon - specially because this was all started by Nehru. There is only one solution to Kashmir - just in old days there used to be a call to "Chalo Delhi" - it is not high time to give a similar call to "Chalo Kashmir". People from everywhere in India should reach Kashmir by any means - train, plain, bus - and just pile on there for months. Those stone pelting peace loving misguided Kashmiris will then realize that they are part of India.

USA is the worlds most uncivilized nation....
by Renuk on Nov 08, 2010 09:36 AM  | Hide replies

No civilized nation goes to war with other small nations, but USA has hit Iraq, Afghanistan and many other nations with out any good reasons... Iraq never posed any great threat to USA or its existence in any ways nor did they attack USA.

Look at Indian history, we never went to war unless it was thrust upon us by the invaders... Gandhiji won us freedom using non violence as a tool...

I am wondering how will the relationship is going to turn around between the most civilized world(India) and the most uncivilized nation (USA).

we never went to war, that is why we, who had the power and potential to expand beyond Kandhar in the West and Tibet in the North, just kept embroiled in pettyCasteism, Prayers, Chantings etc.. India, before the advent of IslamHad all the power, population, military and civilisation to knock the Middle East and Europe out of their feudal and Barbaric-Nomadic cultural morass

What's wrong with casteism?

Various classes in any civilizations is very common... Example casteism as it existed earlier is taking a different form now.. Don't you see that SAM? What I see now is that there are different sections of society like, NRI's, PIO's, Rich people, People belonging to BPL category, business class people, foreign expats etc...? Earlier these classes were based on their work or caste...

You can never eliminate such classes any time anywhere in the world... It only can take different forms... Its only an identity of the person.

This type of categorization exists even in the USA... You can see people who are of caucatian, blacks, Hispanics, Arab Americans, Asian Americans, Indians, Asian Indians, Chinese Americans etc.... You just can't avoid or STOP having such categorizations.... It will exist in one or the other form everywhere where the civilizations exists or not... Its your identity... Why are you afraid of that?

Problems can be solved by those who see it. Raja Ram Mohan Roy saw widows' plight as a problem and abolished Sati and legalised widow remarriage. If none would have seen it,it would hav continued till date. Stop thinking everything is rosy. Find problems n solve it, That's the way to improve our nation

He will go after enjoying with our poor Indians and taxpayers money and praising sonia, raul, mms and continue to give millions of financial aid to Pakistan to buy arms and ammunications to kill Indians.

there should be direct telecaste of pm debate with opposition leader on tv,

I can understand the feelings and frustration of Bupinder Singh but unfortunately we are governed by a government chosen by us! and that is democracy. Democracy will work only when every one is educated and capable of questioning their elected leaders.By asking questions relentlessly, we can make them accountable. To make them accountable means we need fast moving judiciary. We need to instil a fear in the mind of bureaucrats that they are accountable to the tax payer who pays their wages.Unfortunately they behave like lords to those who pay their wages. I like most of your ideas as I too have written in the same line earlier. I might add that all big notes like 100/500 & 1000 be withdrawn by RBI so that fake currency and black money can be controlled. How can 'netas' agree to that..afterall black money is their life blood!

I agree with Mr.Bhupinder Singh as regard to the measures to be taken to curb BLACK MONEY.But how to do it when we have a population of 33% illiterates and 60% living in villages without any exposure to the technological advancement?I feel ADHAR is the solution to take care of the BPL people as well to curb the BLACK MONEY if the GOVT is serious.First of all the top politicians should set themselves as standard and follow the path of ABSOLUTE INTEGRITY.Will they follow it?

The problem everywhere is the puppet govts. The solution will need to be a total revamp of the whole system and not some superficiail changes, which is what the puppet govts will propose to make further fool of aam admi. Such a systemic change will have to come from aam admi. Unfortunately, aam admi has been dumbed down by the corrupt govts using it's slave media and education system. No real solution is visible in the near future, unless there is some drastic development. One should definitely hope, else the battle is lost even before starting!

The visit thus far has been marked with no US support for India in any way.
Quite obviously, Obama's heart is with Pak and failure to criticize Pak in any way can only fuel more belligerence.
No need for Pak to negotiate as long as it is assured of US strategic and military aid.
