obama/osama does it make any difference
by tomsteven.t@rediffmail.com on Nov 04, 2010 03:50 PM

Obama's visit would hardly make any difference to India, cuz Indian economy is shining. India more than China can hold on its own without any American help as our economy is not totally export reliant.
If Obama considers it important to visit India now, it is bearing in mind the economic compulsions back home, especially job creation and his promises to the American electorate.

We Indians need not bother as his visit would hardly touch our lives. He is of Zero use to India be it Kashmir/ UN security council/Pakistan or China ( His predecessor was much better). He is here to take rather than give.
We Indians being the generous lot ( apart from the philanthropist Nigerians, who keep bombarding our mailboxes, promising transfer of millions of dollars of charitable money) would be gullible enough to take the bite expecting Mr Obama to support us in our quest for International glory. We have to chart our own cource like China. Why do we need his support in our journey towards international reckoning???

He is too busy with his America.
by chanakya maurya on Nov 04, 2010 03:38 PM

The poor guy, little realizing what he is inheriting with his occupation of the coveted Oval, is, at the end of the day, a true Christian, a true American and a patriot in its truest sense.

He is neither black nor white.

He is an American.

Fully American.

He is just too busy to save his country from an economic catastrophe.

He is so busy to keep the boat from capsizing that few Americans realize that this is the time to stand solidly behind their President above everything else.

The recent outcome of the House elections, however, proved otherwise. The Americans, it seems, are still living in the past days of extravagance, indulgence and perpetual indebtedness to the extent that their whole country is crumbling under debt today.

Barack is trying to save the boat from sinking, and his own people seem to resent it.

George left behind a beleaguered and devastating economy - a boat on the verge of sinking.

Barack is trying to steady the boat and his own people, besides almost the entire global economy, have to come to his rescue.

The elephant is ill.

Not yet dead.

Barack will most probably go in the American history as the most unenviable President - a Oresident wearing the thorniest crown.

Obama- will hate to fail
by aruna kumar on Nov 04, 2010 03:20 PM

He inherited nothing but negativity in his country--everything was going down the hill;reversing that momentum is not that easy job.In his condition a good and positive thinking can be a ray of hope. The system has not changed and different step will need courage and bold thinking.wish him good luck.

Misplaced expectations
by PRK Reddy on Nov 04, 2010 03:14 PM

The expectations from Obama were misplaced. Just because he was a black in a country of whites, it was wrong to expect any serious changes due to him.
