This is NOT surprising in our Banana Republic
by True Hindustani on Nov 05, 2010 10:36 PM

What a Shame that the Real Hero of 26/11 has been ignored.May be RSS,VHP&BJP&Shive Sena could organize a function to honour Omble and his brave parents and family members. Such insult to a hero is NOT surprising since we are a super banana republic of super moronic majority hindus. It is time that all hindus and patriotic indians unite and kick out crooked and corrupt nehru dynasty and agents in all future state and lok sabha and even panchayat or loca elections too.

Not his problem
by Kishore Doodnath on Nov 03, 2010 06:46 PM

Why should he visit them. It is our responsiblity first. Did MMS or Sonia or Rahul meet them and provide them with relief. What about all those politicians and bollywood rubbish that rushed to the family of the slain terrorists to provide money and sympathies. And who was responsible for Ombles lousy training. He was brave - no doubt but he had lousy training. He should have treated Kasab as if he was alive until he was certain he was dead.

Tukaram Omble
by Subhash Deshmukh on Nov 03, 2010 12:21 PM  | Hide replies

Forget about Obama meeting the family members of Tukaram Omble - Afterall he is a foreign dignitory and there may be some security reasons - but truly speaking Omble has not received the recognition to the extent he derserves even from the local politians - In fact Kasab is the only terrosist who has been caught alive any where in the world. Every where the terrorists have been caught dead. The story written here is altogether different - Kasab never posed as dead - In fact Kasab and his accompliace were heading towards chowpatty in stolen scoda car and they were confronted by two policemen who had already received the message of two terrorists heading towards chowpatyy in Scoda Car. Both of them got down from the car due to hurdles placed on the road and started pumpin bullets on the policemen on guard- Tukaram Omble wihtout bothering for the shower of bullets fired on him proceeded further and tried to catch hold of frail Kasab using only lathi in his hands which was the only arsenal availabe with him- Though he failed to the bullets of terrorists he succeeded in holding Kasab and disarming him before his death - the rest of the job was done by his colleagues - To my knowledge though there were lot of lip sympathes from politicians hardly anyone has met his family members. In India we only honour the hipocrites and not the real heroes as is being done in case of freedom fighers.

WELCOME MR OBAMA
by david dave on Nov 03, 2010 12:17 PM

i am sure like every one else in their growing up stage was asked this question "what will you do if i was made president of the country "and i am sure we all have given some sort of heroic answers to that .This is exactly what i would like to convey here and if the reports regarding Mr Obamas visiting India expenses are to be believed especially when America is going through such financial stress ,all he can do at least is to cut down some of his security extravagance and help families of those people who have lost their lives saving people like him and the common people like us who gave him all this power.Think about it Mr President.... you can bring that change that you were hoping and welcome to INDIA

Government of India should on a mandatory basis conduct programmes every year, so that we do not foregt these brave human beings.Perhaps, their bravery would teach the next generation and generations to come, how much this country suffered due to terrorism.
