We must tell him collectively that they(USA) push pakis more on stopping the terrorist activities against India.bargain hard for all the military purchase with them including Total TOT with out signing the 3 agreements they are asking.extract more lucrative export potentials for India to USA if they wish to counterbalance china with India.Ask for a strong support to India for permanent seat in UN security council.be assertive otherwise begging like a beggar will only result in India ended up as spineless country in international dealings.

All corrupt people of congress will entertain him and he will have to sanitize hands after shaking hands with them.

what a glorious image we will have?, our neighbour will be happy to see our growth in field of corruption and crime.

I would suggest Mr Obama to give few more billions to pakistaan, so that Paki's can throw nuclear bombs on us and delhi, clearing mess in the country...Jai Hind, Jai Corruption!!!

Mr.KASHYAP-IN SPIRIT YOU're RIGHT; IN PRACTICE YOU're WRONG!
by Kabeer on Nov 01, 2010 05:33 PM

Mr. Subhash Kashyap,

In spirit what you are saying is right but in practice it is wrong.

I agree with you that if representatives of democratically elected governments keep addressing elected representatives of other democracies, it is a good practice.

The US does this; perhaps the practice has started from there and others are emulating as India did by inviting President Clinton.

However, here there is a difference.

Visiting dignitaries addressing the joint session of congress in the US is primarily a flattering exercise. The members of the US Congress want to come across as a good hosts and on every 10th sentence uttered by the visiting dignitarys speech is clapped in approval though many a time that particular sentence is neither too significant nor a pearl of wisdom. US members of the Congress are just being too polite.

Compare it with the Indian MPs falling over each other to shake hands with Bill Clinton which he never dreamt of in his wildest dreams. That gesture by Indian MPs though looked extremely clumsy was a sincere one.

In my opinion, to retain sanctity of these speeches, one should invite a leader preferably in his second term (so that the world confirms his or her credentials duing his first term) or atleast only during the end of his term rather than in the beginning as is happening with Obama.

Early in the term address is not good. The world doesnt know what kind of values that person stood for and his or her contribution to world orde

OBAMA Address
by alok Misra on Nov 01, 2010 05:25 PM

He is most concerned about India and China becoming Super powers in near teerm say in three to four years which is very rue becuse we were super power once and have been sleeping for too long.Americans had all along predicted doom for India since 1952 but our matery of IT technology has surprised the world and there apperas to be still a short fall as no software
like Windows has yer come out of India yet but the people who do thee thongs in USA are increasing day by day and they could be Indian or Chinese. What is atr the back of his mind and most Americans now is whether Indians will master new Fast Breeder tech and then will not need Uranium at all.The whole world is skeptical about India because our route to stardom could be different than theirs.Studies are being made in Top US Universities and conclusion reached that India is technologically more advanced than China. Is that so?It is infact very true.If we have good governance which is notr there right now India is on the threshold of a major stardom.Take Nano- its electrical version is likely to sweep the world out of its opponents whether from China/ Japan/ Or USA.This is of prime concern to USA .They know certain things which has been happenings in India will propel it into biggest league ever. This is prime worry and his is a mission of exploration!
