It depends on Obama's will..if he is really interested in developing relations between the two countries then he will continue from where Bush had left..But over two years with all the chinese backing, it looked like they dragged the relations backward by inaction, so that when the time of Obama's visit comes they can show everybody of Obama's "good" will and intent of improving the relations between two largest democracies in the world ,one being demo(n)cracy...

There is nothing called "luck" in american politics. People in US scrutinize and evaluate everything including their credentials before they vote for US President. Your comments are ignorant & you have very little knowledge of US Political/Governing and voting mechanism.

not this time..Obama a far left radical with a background of hangin around rebellious anti american people like Rev Wright has not been evaluated. Obama is a freak one term president at best. He hardly reprsents american values.

There can be no strategic realtionship between India and the US in the long run.
The US supports dictatorships around the globe and has encircled India with Pak and China. His immediate goal is to sell outdated arms to India and to integrate Indian armed forces into the US strategic objectives.
B Hussain O has yet to announce one single pro-India initiative, verbal rhetoric aside.

India-Us

I don't think India considered America as an enemy during cold world war. However, all information indicates America considered India as an enemy and did everything to harm an enemy. The wounds are still bleeding, including Kashmir. Even for this 'holy' visit, the wound is further hurt so that the issue can be 'raised'.

India is a pure country. Enter here with a pure heart, otherwise the nature will conspire against the intruder. So, if US president Obama really want to make a good relationship, let them come with a clean heart, otherwise this exercise will harm both ends...

I don't agree with you on the US treating India as enemy during the cold war. If they wanted, they could have hurt us more. Then again we were not their friends either. We were firmly on the USSR camp at that time. Pakistan was much closer to them. But they did whatever was in the interest of US. We should also do what is in the interest of our country, nothing less nothing more.
In this international potilics, there is no such thing as a 100% friend. There will be allies based on mutual interest. So, do not expect only good things to come from the US or any country for that matter.
As far as Obama, he has already proven he is not as helpful to India as Bush was.

" If they wanted, they could have hurt us more." - Not sure on what basis you are say!ng this. They did not hurt us more because they could not do it and not because they did nt want to do it.
