Whatever it is, this is simply outstanding, this is not a joke to travel around the world in just a ship boat, I am sure you wouldn't be able to do 10% of this also.

I am sure you have not heard of Sir Isaac Newton who said "If I have seen further it is by standing on the shoulders of Giants". Cdr Donde did not have any giant whose shoulder he could stand on. India has ignored the sea as much as she could and has fared badly for it. It was a remarkable feat not just for Cdr Donde but for Ratnakar for whom Mhadei was the first sailing boat he ever built. Few will ever know that the entire project had a core team of just four people - a mentor, a boat builder, a sailor and a shore support. On the contrary, Australia is a nation which has a great maritime history. She has produced perhaps more circumnavigators than any other nation. What Jess did was to add to what already existed. What Cdr Donde did was to start something totally new for the nation.
At Fremantle, the boat was received by the legendary John Sanders himself. At Falkland Islands Mark Schrader and at Cape Town John Martin received her... all legends in their own right. (google them)They had only humility and words of praise and encouragement. Most of the Indians I have met call a 5 km walk the adventure of their lifetime. How can you sit in your chairs and make such comments? Dear Vidhyadar should come with me one afternoon for a sail on Mhadei and try hoisting the mainsail all by himself. I am sure he wont turn up for work for an entire week to follow.

Kulkarni, All Das's, Ghosh's, Menon's have congratulated him fully. Its a shame that the only guy trying to dilute this is a Maharashtrian. Grow up man!
